Russians Are Trying to Create the 'Dragon's Teeth' Anti-Tank Defense Line 20 km Deep Into the Front Line

Russian media brag about their defense preparations in the Hirske district in eastern Ukraine, which is somewhat in discord with the "victorious" narratives spread by the Kremlin
russian army is trying to create a long-term defense using a number of special engineering means in the area of Hirske village in the Luhansk region. Moreover, it is alleged that the "Wagner" mercenaries are engaged in the "grand construction".

The video published by the russians was outlined by OSINT researcher Benjamin Pittet who identified the geolocation.

The defense line consists of an anti-tank ditch and two rows of anti-tank fortifications, which in the west are called "dragon's teeth" (Drachenzähne in German) for their characteristic pyramidal shape.

Such teeth are supposed to hinder the movement of armored vehicles and first appeared during World War II and were widely used by Germany.

But the truth is that according to the instructions, the numbers should have been much larger, both of the teeth in the line and of the total number of such lines. The technology of their installation is also different, because in the "classic" German version, such a concrete pyramid should not just be put on the ground, but is part of a much more complex engineering structure with a concrete "foundation". This kind of defense also involves planting of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, installing barbed wire.

Anyway, the most important is that such a defense line is being built 20 km from the current front line. Of course, this could speak of the russian plans and assessment of their own forces regarding the possibility of a further offensive. At the same time, such demonstrative actions may well be a feint aimed only at giving the appearance of future plans to transit exclusively to defense.

  10. The Belarus leader in exile just said the quiet part out loud: Putin is afraid that if Belarus troops go into Ukraine that they may switch sides.

Not sure I would go that far. I think dumbo Putin still wants them to go in, but Lukashenko is the one who has massive fear about their loyalty. Vlad is famously out of touch with reality and his underlings dast not give him proper assessments.

Vlad keeps meeting with Lukashenko to coordinate legislation in both Belarus and Moscow to flat-out absorb Belarus into Russia so the Belarus people and even some senior military see joining with Ukraine as a way to fight against that. Once again, military genius Vlad is pouring that "make Belarus part of Russia" gasoline on the fire at the absolute frigging worst time possible. And the more it looks like he will not absorb Ukraine, the more he tries his luck with K-stan and Belarus to score some kind of victory in regard to expanding Russia. Absorbing K-stan did not work out either. And taking Moldova is not working out because he is bogged down in Ukraine. But Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Azerbaijan are nervous and defensive because they know Vlad wants some more turf somewhere, from someone to compensate for having his small penis cut off in Ukraine.

What a mess. Lukashenko not going to be inducted into MENSA anytime soon either. He is the village idiot of Belarus and Putin is now the village idiot of Russia.

Putin doesn’t trust Lukashenko’s army to fight in Ukraine, Belarus’ leader-in-exile says
Troops under Belarusian dictator’s command could side with Ukraine if ordered to invade, in an ‘epic fail’ for Putin’s pal in Minsk, says Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
