Yeh, I get that he needs to do that along with re-defining the enemy as NATO in order to whip up the home front and justify his actions. Ruskies have come a long way from being welcomed as liberators with bread and salt to nuclear war with NATO. Let’s see what they can actually scrounge together through mobilization. It Should take a good amount of time but I’d be short on their ability to field 300k this year. I read somewhere the Russians have lost an estimated 57,000 troops so far. They are getting to a point where everyone is going to know someone who was lost in Ukraine. It’s going to be a tough row to hoe down at the recruiting office in Moscow.
