Hm, in another published statement, a "National Republican Army" movement in Russia took responsibility for the killing of Darya Dugina.
Ukraine war: Russia appeals for new recruits for war effort "Two volunteer artillery battalions are being formed. We invite men from 18 to 60 years old to join," the speakers blare out. It's a message that's being repeated up and down this vast country. On social media, on TV and on billboards, men are being urged to sign short-term contracts with the military to fight in Ukraine. Nina Chubarina's son Yevgeny left their village in the northern region of Karelia to join a volunteer battalion. Nina says her son, who had no military experience, was given a gun and sent straight into Ukraine. He was killed just days later. He was 24 years old. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62553629
Idiotic. But par for the course. They are counting on signing up the idiots. Their problem is that idiots are not very effective as soldiers.
As expected we are seeing multiple claims regarding the car bombing death of conservative commentator Daria Dugina who is the daughter of well-known anti-Western Russian nationalist Alexander Dugin -- often called "Putin's brain''. There are news reports that Alexander Dugin is now in the hospital after suffering a heart attack -- hence the Russian press is stating he was "wounded" in the attack. The claims regarding the bombing vary from Putin is responsible for the attack, to Ukraine is responsible for the attack, to claims from multiple shadowy barely-known Russian militant groups that they are responsible for the attack. All the while the Russian media is whipping up outrage in the country to demand revenge. We will see how things pan out over the upcoming week.
I was surprised to see that Pravda says Ukrainian special services did it. Usually they don't like to give any credit to Ukraine because it makes them look stronger, and Russia weak. Kind of a little shift there. That probably means that he is about to do clamp down on Russians even more and use the excuse that the homeland is under attack and use it to justify mobilization. Pretty funny in some ways. He is clearly rattled by all the small military activities starting to creep outside of Ukraine. He thinks that the west and the world have some gentleman's agreement that Ukraine is there to be fucked with by Russia but somehow it is a violation of the rules of the game for Ukraine to cross into Russia or to fire into Russia and that Ukraine is escalating if it has to cross into Russia. That's like telling me that my neighbor is free to shell my house but if I have to cross the road to knock the shit out of him I am somehow not playing by the rules or something. Alright I digressed a little so shoot me.

It says that the speakers are blaring about how they are trying to recruit for an artillery battalion . Attention Comrades: "Due to the fact that many of our artillerymen have recently been killed we have current opening in Ukraine. You will receive a sign-on bonus and the rest upon successful completion of your first full year, which is not gonna happen."
So Russia is admitting that their internal security is so weak that mothers with children in their cars can slip through and kill Putin's mouthpieces?
