Russia’s special train of over 40 cars destroyed with HIMARS in Kherson Region Some firework for the Russians. Welcome to the battlefield, russian troops. May the new Lada fit well to your family.
How do you take out all that ammo and train cars too, without also messing up the train and the rail line as well? I know there are those who will rise to say that the rail line will be fixed by next week, the bridges get fixed in a week, so on and so forth. That may be but there is tight, critical balance between the two armies in that area. Just slowing things down by a week anywhere is helpful. Suppose you have a bridge that is about to bring twenty tanks and twenty tanks and a trucks of supplies across and the bridge is taken out of operation for a week. If I were a Ukrainian on the receiving end of some that stuff, I would think "shit, I will take that week for sure." The ones who work their little calculators to figure out the cost-benefit of missiles versus bridge repair. That analysis fails to take into account the benefit of eliminating/reducing the flow in certain areas even if it is just for a week. Everyone knows, for example, that damaged runways get repaired- often in a matter of days. Sure. but if there were five planes planning to take off that day and hit your army - maybe destroy lots of soldiers and equipment- then just putting them out action for even a short time has enormous benefit. You can't just calculate how much the enemy spent to fix the runway versus how much your army spend to destroy it. Sheesh.

The Ukrainians must be about ready to beatify Saint Himar as they did with Saint Javelin, in jest. I think. Although "Himar" might be Jewish. Not sure.
https://good-time-invest.com/blog/switzerland-implemented-7-package-of-sanctions-against-russia/ As of August 3, the list of measures that Switzerland introduced to counter Russia's aggression is entirely consistent with the list of the European Union Due to Russia's attack on Ukraine, Switzerland regularly joins every package of sanctions against Russia that the EU adopts. On August 3, the Swiss Federal council announced its accession to the 7th package of sanctions. "Given the ongoing military aggression of Russia in Ukraine, the Federal Council imposed additional sanctions against Russia on August 3, in line with the latest EU sanctions on gold and gold products. The measures come into force at 18:00 on August 3," the Swiss Federal Council. By the new package of sanctions, Switzerland has expanded the sanctions list by 54 individuals and 9 individuals. One of the largest banks in Russia, Sberbank, was included in the list: its assets are frozen, and cooperation is blocked. "Thus, the list of individuals and organizations against which Switzerland has imposed sanctions in connection with the situation in Ukraine is fully consistent with the EU list," representatives of the Federal Council said. It is worth noting that the sanctions exclude measures against trade in agricultural and food products with Russia. For this measure, 2 exceptions to the procedures from the agro-products and oil sectors were adopted. A ban has been introduced on accepting deposits from individuals and legal entities, the controlling stake of which is owned by a citizen of the aggressor country. Separately, an embargo was introduced on products that can be used in the military sphere. From new: restriction on access to port gateways, which makes it impossible to circumvent sanctions.
Russians Flee Their APCs After the Hit: Ukrainian Forces Tell How They Use Barrett on the Battlefield August 4, 2022 https://en.defence-ua.com/weapon_an...they_use_barrett_on_the_battlefield-3773.html A sniper position American sniper rifles help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destroy the russian army Ukrainian troops destroy the enemy not only with modern self-propelled guns or MLRS – the soldiers from one of the Airborne Assault Forces units fighting in Eastern Ukraine are having significant success in sniper and counter-sniper combat against the russian invaders. ArmiyaInform and AAF press service officer Yaroslav Chepurnyi had a chat with snipers. Particularly, they found out that paratroopers extensively used sniper rifles during the fierce battles near Severodonetsk and Lysychansk cities – primarily such American long-range guns as M107A1 Barrett of the 12.7x99 mm (.50 BMG) caliber. Ukrainian snipers praised this weapon and said they actively used it while neutralizing the enemy equipment and fortified positions. One of the snipers, Volodymyr, recalls that when his unit "greeted" enemy armored personnel carriers with armor-piercing ammunition fired from the Barrett, the crew ran away at instant, because this ammunition easily tears anyone to pieces and also causes the vehicle to catch fire. The M107A1 Barrett / Open source photo Ukrainian military armed with this rifle also win most of the sniper duels, since there is no match for this weapon in the russian army. Thanks to the ballistic calculation unit and modern optics, this rifle can effectively fire not just at one, but at two and even at three detected targets as well, because if the distance to the target changes, the calculation is made in a matter of seconds. Therefore, the primary targets for the Barrett rifle are lightly armored targets or enemy firing positions. Military of the Airborne Assault Forces also note the ease of its use: the rifle is effortlessly disassembled and carried in two 60 liter backpacks, and thanks to that a two-person sniper squad can swiftly move around the area. In addition to American weapons, Ukrainian snipers also speak favorably of the Ukrainian Z-10 "Zbroyar" rifle, which is also involved in the destruction of the russian invasion forces. Nothing but looters... Among the remains of the russian vehicles we discovered some specific goods that were stolen by the "world's second mightiest army" from civilians and aparently were meant to be delivered back as "military trophies". Obviously because they can't buy those things anymore.
