Ukraine announces first war crimes trial of Russian soldier in custody

Ukraine’s prosecutor general said Wednesday that the country would try a 21-year-old Russian soldier who is in custody, adding that he would be the first Russian service member to stand trial there on a war crimes charge in the 11-week conflict.

The prosecutor’s statement accused Vadim Shishimarin of firing several shots with a Kalashnikov rifle from a car, killing an unarmed 62-year-old resident in a village in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine on Feb. 28. It said the man was pushing a bike by the side of a road before he was shot in the head and “died on the spot a few dozen meters from his home.”........

https://t.me/mysiagin/8903 - that's the way Russian corpses are just strewn about Ukraine. The "no man left behind" principle doesn't exist in the Russian military.

  6. What you don’t even realise is that you have permitted your logical brain to be manipulated by your own mainstream media as you simply refuse to realise that war propaganda exists on both sides, Ukraine/NATO and Russia. The tectonic shift that analysts keep talking about is something that the US can not afford to get out of hand as the switch to multipolarity would pretty much equate to the collapse of the US economy and the USD considering the colossal amount of debt that the US has accumulated. Microsoft can be replaced by a Chinese equivalent, so can Apple computers, Tesla’s electric vehicles, etc. This is the real danger to the US empire as we know it that existed for decades now. So your posts about how Russia is losing to Ukraine and how bad Russians are for having invaded Ukraine are nothing but reiterated version of your own country’s propaganda machine, as Oliver Stone has posted that western PR is much greater than Russian one, this means propaganda basically.

  7. I believe that Russian soldiers usually have dog tags.

So the fact that most of them cannot be immediately identified - or that a means of identifying them after the war- is not available makes it appear that the Russians not only left them behind but stripped their dog tags too.

Yeh. I get that some of them are too blown up to recover their dog tags but that does not explain most of them not having them.

Most likely I am overthinking it. They just sent the troops in without tags to "keep the special in special operations."

    =============================================
The Russian Armed Forces use oval metal tags, similar to the dog tags of the Soviet Army. Each tag contains the title 'ВС РОССИИ' (Russian for ''Armed Forces of Russia'') and the individual's alphanumeric number, as shown on the photo.

Russia. Invaded. Ukraine. And. Is. Murdering. Tens. Of. Thousands. Of. People. There.

That's a fact. That's an incontrovertible fact. You can't argue that that's not true. It's the truth.

That's all the "war propaganda" one needs to hear from the "Ukraine/NATO" side to understand who's in the right here. Period. End of story. All your stupid efforts to whitewash it do not work.

  9. Those here who did not learn all their history on a video game may know of or about the "Mothers of the Plaza." Mothers of the "desaparecidos" the disappeared ones who were "disappeared" by military junta in Argentina. The mothers would protest- at risk to their lives- in the plaza for explanations about their disappeared ones.

That's where this Russia clusterfuck is headed with all the disappeared soldiers. The Russians may be able to hide the truth about their final circumstances of death but they cannot- in the long run- hide the fact that they were in the army and did not return. That bullshit is not going to work back in the villages. The locals all know who left for the army. duh.

The other thing that is happening is that the conscription period for many of the soldiers is expiring and if they had buddies- which they do- who were killed they will tell the full story to their buddies' villages.

Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothe...dentified among them, the Plaza de Mayo itself.

  10. Ukrainian army doesn't kill civilians then, wake up pal - 'Когда лес рубят, щепки летят'. Russians conducted a preemptive attack, the same your country would initiate if you knew that there was to be an attack by the other side. You love calling this an unprovoked and illegal invasion, that Ukrainian authorities didn't do anything to provoke an invasion. Your own Oliver Stone refuses to accept this bullshit, that there was no provocation by Ukraine, there was. Russia did what it had to do to defend millions of ethnic Russians in Donbas. And since you hate whataboutism so much, I will say it again, you slaughtered hundreds of thousands in Iraq and nothing was done against your country, no sanctions, nobody was jailed for war crimes.

Why are you bitching about Russia anyway, this is exactly what your country wanted in the first place.
