You don't get it. And probably won't get it. Russia already lost. The moment it attacked, it lost. It doesn't matter whether it will actually take Ukraine or part of Ukraine or will have to run away with its tail between its legs. Both ways it loses. It is going to be an isolated, pariah state, not being able to build anything more technological than a 1970s vehicle, with a ruined economy. A Nigeria with snow, as Brin famously said, a North North Korea. It has already lost. It is just refusing to acknowledge it. Yet.
BTW, this is how much Russians appreciate their WWII veterans: По указанию администрации Петербурга у домов ветеранов войны и труда №1 в Павловске и №2 в Петроградском районе прошли парады юнармейцев. После официальной части пенсионерам вручили подарки к 9 мая– макароны и бутылочку подсолнечного масла. By order of St. Petersburg's city administration, a "young army" parade was conducted next to the veteran's houses. After that, the veterans received May 9th gifts - some macaroni and a bottle of sunflower oil.
Yeah, it has been discussed that Putin can’t squeeze a turd without us knowing about it. The Russian Idiots are walking around Ukraine communicating with Nokia cell phones from 1995 and complaining about getting blown up a couple of dozen at a time. Ridiculous. They’d be better off with two cans tied to a really long string. Have the Russians tried smoke signals yet? What can’t be said is that is that the Russians weren’t warned.
Oligarch, who made Zelensky president, on trial which has been postponed due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Naaaaah, can’t be! In JSC Commercial Bank PrivatBank v Kolomoisky & Others, the former owners of the bank - Ukrainian oligarchs, Mr Igor Kolomoisky and Mr Gennadiy Bogolyubov - are alleged to have misappropriated $1.9bn through a series of sham loans and supply contracts involving a number of corporate defendants. https://www.brickcourt.co.uk/news/d...s-fair-trial-impossible-in-privatbank-dispute
This is from Anatoly Nesmeyan, a well known blogger in St. Petersburg. https://t.me/anatoly_nesmiyan/2539 And here it is directly from Russian media source: https://megapolisonline.ru/peterbur...za-makarony-i-maslo-v-podarkah-veteranam-vov/
To give you an idea about the motivation of the Russian boys that will be mobilized: from 7 recruitment centers, on different locations in Russia, is already confirmed that they were burned down. Russians try to destroy the lists of men that will have to go to war. That's how enthusiastic the Russians are to go to fight. If the mobilization will reach a few hunderd thousand soldiers, that might be the start of a revolt within Russia. In all Russia, groups of people (politicians, oligarchs, FSB, GRU, citizens...) start to think about removing Putin from power. The resistance against the war increases every day.
Fair enough, did you purposefully leave out the bit where it says that they would be given 10,000 rubbles for 9th of May? How did your new home country treat their veterans of WW2? Anything more exciting?
