Both of my grandfathers served in WWII. One went from the Winter War all the way to Berlin. How he managed to survive I don't know, probably one in ten survived all the way from Finland to Berlin. Infantry, started the war as a private, ended it as a major. Never talked about the war, I asked my dad about that, not once. The other was just a private in a tank division throughout. Russia, after years of requests and warnings to NATO (the US), and after Ukraine pulled over 100k military towards Donbas and 14,000 deaths in Donbas since 2014 (etc), decided to make the decision not to wait but to initiate preemptive attack and sure enough for this they get the blame, because most people had no idea what was going on. I don’t support wars, I’m a man of peace. But, life isn’t perfect, and the country you live in, supposedly the US, is not innocent, hypocrites that cause so much devastation in this world in the short time of their existence.
