Conscription is awesome. If you’re lucky enough to only be maimed, instead of dead, you get a bag of buckwheat and a card from Putin!

  2. Yeh, Vlad's a giver.

The guy got a bottle of canola oil. Not to get too pernickety but canola oil is also known as rapeseed oil. I can see where that might be a fitting reward for his service.

Alexander Sosnovsky, a known Russian propagandist who fancies himself a "German journalist" but most of his income comes from being on Russian Channel 1 propaganda TV shows, published this:

The German Social-Democrat party prepared a proposed peace plan for Russian-Ukranian conflict:

    1. Russia returns to Feb 24 borders.
    2. Ukraine agrees to LDNR in the Feb 24 borders
    3. Ukraine agrees that Crimea is Russian
    4. Russia pays reparations
    5. Ukraine agrees not to join NATO
    6. US, Turkey, China, France guarantee the agreement.

I don't think this is realistic, especially point 2, Crimea could be agreed to be leased by Russia I guess. But what is really significant is not the plan itself but who posted it. The extremely pro-Russian paid propagandist.

Where you get all you knowledge. I don't see a tent or a bicycle.

I have a bottle of cider for my three cheese and pickle sandwich. Better than corporal no-leg-Russian.

  8. How is this any of China's business such that their agreement would be required.?

It is a given that Russia needs to get the approval of their masters but they can work that offline with them.

Aside from the many other issues, the Ukrainians need to be careful that a settlement does not create pre-texts for future invasions by others. Such as China asserting that it is only helping to enforce the terms of some agreement, and not there to help Russia. Yeh, right. OR NOT.

Their agreement for what? They'd be the guarantor of the agreement.

Anyway, as I said it is not the point, since this is all completely theoretical. The point is how a Russian propagandist publishes a "peace plan" that completely humiliates Russia. And it really is the best they can get.

  10. Yeh, I get that and my point remains the same.

I would not want by legitimize any actions by China where they are able act under the pretense of just enforcing/acting as guarantor of the agreement.
