There’s lots of misguided analysis in this.

First let’s start with Putin thinking the ideal time is now. No. That’s not the right analysis.

The correct analysis is NATO is getting stronger now that Trump is gone amd if he waits he will continue to lose advantages in Eastern Europe.

Putin was very glad to have Trump breaking up NATO. No need for tanks and invasions when the American President is a doormat jus giving you the keys to front door.

Putin is all in your social media and news so you should take what you think with a grain of salt. Honestly. Unless of course you deny that to be true then you’re just lost.

We will see where this all ends up but there’s no doubt we are better off not having Trump rolling over like a dog for Putin.

Bloomberg is saying there's gonna be a meeting Thursday between the US and Russia.
Joe gets to take a bow lol. Very Kennedyesque. Stood em down.

Me thinks Putin is just doing this to keep Joe and company in office.
Putin's all about his money. As long as the squad and Joe keep oil north of $100/bbl, I'm sure he doesn't want to rock the boat.

  6. Yeh, well, you are definitely working overtime for that extra potato in your rations, Comrade.

As I said throughout the campaign ad nauseum, "all of our enemies will be dancing in the street if Biden is elected. And they are. And the AFG fiasco just confirmed to the entire world that he was a military disaster waiting to happen. Because you want that extra potato, you, instead, are doing a "hell of a job Brownie" routine. I said that Putin would move on Ukraine if Biden were elected and - surprise, surprse, Putin is moving on Ukraine. Not revising my thoughts just yet but, then again, I am free to look at reality and do not need the potato.

As I said earlier, you already got a script declaring Joe a winner even if Putin takes all or part of Ukraine. Because Joe was lookin good or Nato was scurrying around or something. Biden is the root cause of the warmongering by Putin.

  7. It's about Macron as well.

Macron is up for re-election in April and Putin knows that he is a reliable vote against Ukraine membership in Nato. So Putin is giving him a chance to pretend that he is deal maker and if successful prevented WW3 or whatever to get elected.

You know what they say: "There is a reason why they put back-up lights on French tanks."

No. You are nothing if not consistent. Yes, the whole world knew in 2020 that there were high tension issues moving to breaking points. Trump effectively appeased Putin by undermining NATO. Putin was thrilled with Trump’s approach. He had his stooge in America and effective media campaigns fracturing social fabric in western countries. You, yourself, often parrot the misinformation fed through right wing media. Things were going well for Putin with Trump in power.

Biden, being sort of a classic pro western American President, does threaten Putin because it strengthens NATO.

No one can honestly disagree that NATO is more United with Biden as President than Trump.

Similarly, you cannot honestly argue against the strongest countermeasure to Russia is NATO.

Strong NATO = strong countermeasures against Russia.

Russia dominates Eastern Europe. We, the west, are effectively trying to move and increase our influence in Eastern Europe to ultimately reduce the threat the Russians pose to us, the west.

Your arguments don’t make sense in the real world. Appeasing Russia does not help. Chumming up to our opponents and denigrating our allies weakens us. Unless of course your goal is to leave the western tradition then, yeah, Trump is a good choice.

We, America, are doing a good job on a number of areas right now. We have a pretty good United front. We are holding the line on sovereignty. We are undermining Russia’s plans and we have broadcast strong consequences for Russia. So far so good.

The after effects of Russia moving into Ukraine, if they do move in, is the next phase. The challenges coming up are going to be much greater. Not only might we have an active war in Ukraine complete with refugees and spill overs, we will be dealing with Russian retaliation for the sanctions.

    We’ll see.
