  1. This type of language, 'highly probable' etc., is commonly used, and the more it is repeated, the more the average reader starts to believe in what he read as being fact.

He didn't even say highly probable in the original. He stated it as fact. "Russians poisoned Ukrainians at Peace Talks".

He's a sensationalist. Not interested in truth, only narrative. That's why so many of his shrieking posts end up being thrown back in his face.

I dunno. Maybe they weren't poisoned and its a rumor. Or a stunt. Or they ate bad guacamole. The point is that you are often wrong, but never in doubt.

It was something like "secede now or secede later". Ran by the Kremlin of course. GWB spouting the usual BS

I gotta hand it to you, GWB. You've managed to get people on both sides of the aisle to universally realize what a chump you are.

Billionaire Abramovich, Ukrainian peace negotiators hit by suspected poisoning - reports

March 28 (Reuters) - Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators suffered symptoms of suspected poisoning earlier this month after a meeting in Kyiv, the Wall Street Journal and the investigative outlet Bellingcat reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Abramovich, who accepted a Ukrainian request to help negotiate an end to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and at least two senior members of the Ukrainian team, were affected, the WSJ report said.

Ukrainian officials poured cold water on the report. Asked about the suspected poisoning, Ukrainian negotiator Mykhailo Podolyak said "there is a lot of speculation, various conspiracy theories". Rustem Umerov, another member of the negotiating team, urged people not to trust "unverified information".

The Kremlin did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.

According to the WSJ report, Abramovich and the negotiators showed symptoms that included red eyes, constant and painful tearing, and peeling skin on their faces and hands.

Abramovich and the Ukrainian negotiators, including Crimean Tatar lawmaker Umerov, have since improved and their lives are not in danger, WSJ reported.

A person familiar with the matter confirmed the incident to Reuters but said Abramovich had not allowed it to stop him working.

Bellingcat said experts who examined the incident concluded "poisoning with an undefined chemical weapon" was the most likely cause.

Citing the experts, Bellingcat said the dosage and type of toxin used was not enough to be life-threatening, "and most likely was intended to scare the victims as opposed to cause permanent damage. The victims said they were not aware of who might have had an interest in an attack."

  8. My comment will not be well received by some but in a civilized world, even if it were a fair vote and the majority wanted to join Russia, that is not necessarily the determining factor.

The sovereignty of the entire country belongs to the entire people of that country- in any country- not just to a local region. The local wishes always being worthy of consideration and weight in any country.

Suppose, for example, an absurd one at that, the separatist movement in Vermont were able achieve a majority vote, and voted for secede and join Canada (nevermind that they have never talked to Canada) then, not so fast Sparky, this a nation.

Sometimes changes are made over time and it is not wrong if approached in a civilized kind of way. Occupying with Russian troops and lobbing shells in there is not an example of such.

You know those new measures the Russian Central Bank instituted a while ago where people or companies with foreign currency accounts could only take $10K total from them in currency, and the rest would have to be in rubles? The Central Bank just announced that until Sept 9th no withdrawals in foreign currency are allowed at all.

  10. The already have a "Korean" scenario in progress.

Russia has become the new North Korea and Ukraine wishes to proceed towards becoming new South Korea. (better economy but you keep the corruption ).
