Complicated I guess. There is the transgender issue/angle and the demonizing of the border authorities. Don't deny that but, in fairness, the border authorities might be seeing a lot of men - who are not transgenders- but suddenly dress up as women in order to get out of the country. Most likely they have other reasons to check out how female a person is and they might have fake ID's on them. Don't know. In this country, you can self identify as a woman for the days that you want to shower with the women at the gym and self identify as a man the next day and rinse and repeat. And you can have two mommies and they both have dicks. It's all good if you don't puke. Reminds me of when Arlen Specter switched parties and became a democrat to get elected. And Chris Matthews said: "He was like a woman who put on a dress to get in the lifeboat on the Titanic." ‘I will not be held prisoner’: the trans women turned back at Ukraine’s borders https://www.theguardian.com/global-...e-trans-women-turned-back-at-ukraines-borders
Here we go. link below. I have twice posted that I favored a variation of this. I said I would offer the Ruskie soldiers a free trip to Disneyworld and safe passage to third country to let them defect outside of the whole conflict. Might even throw in some Subway gift certificates. You guys think I am kidding, and I am, but mostly not. Looks like the Ukrainians are getting creative. Most of these soldiers are young and want to go home but they can leave the country and the war and return after Putin is gone. It is not pretty but the alternatives are not pretty either. A Russian tank crew member has surrendered to the Ukrainian forces and handed over his fully operable tank after seeing in his phone a targeted text with the Ukrainian government’s offer that guaranteed safety, a financial reward, as well as potential Ukrainian citizenship once the war is over. https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-at...ffers-10000-reward-citizenship-prospects.html
BTW. The list I keep of Russian higher-ranks liquidated in Ukraine - rank of Lt. Col and above has grown to 36. 14 Lt. Col 16 Colonel 5 Major General (1-star) 1 Lt. General (2-star)
Nobody wants to die in a senseless war. These civilians being asked to fight by Zelensky will all be cannon fodder. They are not trained soldiers. He could save Ukrainian lives by seeking a peace deal with Putin. The reason Putin will not even talk to him is he is not being serious. He says he will not surrender one inch of Ukrainian territory. Putin already took Crimea in the past skirmish, Donetsk and Luhansk separatist republics under the control of the separatists who are ethnic Russians. Those territories, Putin will not give back. He already had control over them before the war. Putin probably, carving out some more territory on the fringes. I think he takes Mariupol and Odessa to consolidate his control of the southern part of Ukraine and probably, Kharkiv with Donetsk and Luhansk. The rest will remain a part of Ukraine. Zelensky needs to realize, he has lost territory whether he admits it or not and that is the only way this war ends. If not, Ukraine could be fighting years upon years of a war they will not win. Only more dead bodies will come of it.
The land bridge to Crimea and the Donbass are Putin's minimum consolation prize and somewhat consistent with the small excurstion that was pre-allowed. All of the Ukraine is probably out unless he just depopulates the whole country which he might do. Everything east of the Dnieper is still another goal to work for, not as easy as the simple land bridge to crimea but not out of the question yet either. However, I can't see a situation where Putin takes the coast all the way to Odessa as part of his eastern bite and the Ukrainians settle for that. Frig, that leaves them with no access to the sea and Russia stretching over to Moldova. That is not only the loss of Ukraine as a nation- without sea access and its original identity but pretty dangerous too. Moldova has putin buddies there and is not Nato. They gotta do what they gotta do, but I imagine they will not give up Odessa until the last possible point. The Ukrainians won;t give up crimea or donbass either but realistically they will enter into some ceasefire with agreement that those regions will be subject to Minsk-like negotiatons which will result in the Ruskies just continuing to do what they are already doing there.
There's a slightly off the radar stock that I have owned off and on over the years and I bought some near the recent low a few weeks back at $214, it's $231 now, but you might want to keep an eye on it if it pulls back below $220 again. $MSI They make all this type stuff for LE and the military. Solid stock. It has $260 in it within 1 year.
