Russia & Ukraine

  1. I think the hypersonic missiles are more a message to Nato than to the Ukranians.

He has plenty of missiles and artillery although the artillery is still not where he wants it. So the missiles do damage while the new set of russian clowns are to arrive soon. Odessa and those parts are receiving missiles from the war ships. And after the east is secured the ruskie troops will continue to move west. Putin hoping it will all come together whereby he can have some more troops and bring all that convoy type artillery right into the city to go full Aleppo.

The Ukranians of course get to fight back and have their owns plans. But they are in a mighty tough spot with the odds still against them. Yes, the ruskies will underperform but that's a lot of force to overcome, and Putin has always fought in his other battles by just lobbing artillery into the civilian areas to reduce them to parking lots. As previously discussed, I would not necessarily assume that the Russian pigs will do the dreaded house to house where all the pundits say they are so vulnerable. They starving the east to death and that, along with shelling everything that is standing is working for them. Mariupol be gone today if not already. Odessa a couple more days. etc.

Yes, as I said, the Ukranians get to have a say in all of that but it is not a good picture for them despite all the bright spots. As I said the other day the quality of the weapons coming in is good, so the russians just holding in the north waiting for reinforcements works for the Ukranians as well. Russians pretty much have the east now though.

I doubt they even have many hypersonics, could just be a handful so they are pulling a Nagasaki/ Hiroshima type stunt where they immediately used what they had to bluff they had more.

Let's not forget the small size of their economy, the amount of wholesale thievery and what has already been shown with shoddy equipment. Those missiles ain't cheap to develop or make though they do save you having to maintain a submarine fleet.

Russian PM just announced publicly that Russian economy is not going to collapse. In those words.

    Prepare for the collapse.

Also - Russian authorities started adding this appeal to the utilities bills: asking people to join the reserves. Starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel?

One thing that the press has apparently not figured out yet, but I can promise the powers that be know well... perhaps to an even greater extent than Kiev... control of Odessa would be Putin's holy grail.

It's an EXTREMELY strategic port city, so I doubt Putin wants to destroy its infrastructure. It's Ukraine's 3rd most populace area, and economically, it's probably the most important city they have. Oil and gas transfer point, bulk cargo handling facilities, international airport, and feeding all that are extensive rail lines connecting it to not only areas in Ukraine, but also Russia. And for the most part, it's a warm water port.

I mean economically, Ukraine can't afford lose that city, so I don't think Putin can take it. If he starts shelling it, that may in fact turn out to be NATO's line in the sand. Article 15 or not. Initially I thought he would focus on it and just surround Kiev, but that didn't work out obviously. For him to move on Odessa now would be a huge tactical blunder with the cards he has left to play. Huge.

Now that's not to say he won't threaten its destruction to perhaps effectuate some kind of face saving agreement.

So if there's no "no fly zone" being imposed, does that work both ways? Mauripol needs supplies and ammo to be airdropped by the West

  8. Scrolling through it I see several pics of dead individuals, zero mass casualties strewn about as you claim. I want a pic of several hundred dead in one pic That's what you are claiming is happening each and every day. If there dying by the thousands, and are being left to rot after the battle, then one such pic would in fact exist. Produce it.

There are no thousands in any one place of course. It is a very wide (and deep) front - so yes there are thousands all over the place. A few here a few there. All together - yes, hundreds of dead just on that channel.

Or it's happening in thousands of scrimmages and you won't see mass casualty events. Even the Russians are good at not putting all their eggs in one basket like that
