Not the first time I have had to shake my head and ask why the government/media finds it necessary to report on methods used to kill the enemy. Just not necessary. Harmful to the troops involved and undermines their effort. Just shut the fuck up. It is not the job of the media or government to update the enemy on everything we or an allied force are doing. Shut your hole. They had a method of tracking him. It worked. They killed the motherfucker. That's all the public needs to know, until maybe down the road after the war is over. Ukraine killed a Russian general after he made an unsecured call that gave away his location, report says https://www.businessinsider.com/rus...ukraine-intercepted-unsecured-call-nyt-2022-3
I'm not certain that's true. Perhaps there has not been as forceful a rejection of the war as we would like, but I believe several, of "these wealthy pussies", have expressed dismay and disagreement with Putin's war. I believe Abramovich was one of them. But please correct me if I am wrong. I am certainly not taking the side of the oligarchs here, who in my view have in effect stolen from the Russian people, but just trying to keep us as close to facts as possible and away from the purely emotional. It's difficult, I know.
Agree and disagree. This is a nice opportunity imo to draw Putin in and finish off their military. Why should the West expend countless billions of dollars on firepower to have it sitting in warehouses.
So I never addressed whether it was an error with Vanzandt, I addressed his perceived consequences of Eastern Europe being “fucked” as a result of Biden making the statement. Tactically, I’m not sure whether it rises to the level of “error.” I’m from the school of it wakes like a duck and talks like a duck call Vlad a war criminal. But I am open to discussion. Why do you think it is a tactical error and if so do you have any thoughts on what the consequences might be?
Of course they would and have. If fact lies from government spokespersons, the President and the media reached new heights in the U.S. just recently during the Trump administration. The big difference is that those that expose these lies in totalitarian countries go to prison or are executed, whereas in the U.S. they often end up as heroes. Consider what happened to both John Kerry and Daniel Elsberg. Both played important roles in exposing the Truth about America's lies and criminal behavior in Vietnam. Both were important in bringing the war to an end. Both ended up as heroes in the view of many Americans. Neither was jailed nor executed for telling the truth. In America, it's those that tell the lies that are sent packing, or end their days as pathetic figures in a gulf cart.
Because it puts Putin in a smaller box to try and get out of. Unless you're prepared to completely obliterate your enemy, (we aren't and can't without risking our own annihilation), it's wise to give them a way out. Calling Putin a war criminal tells Putin he's going down win or lose which means he presses forward. It also puts Biden and the West in a box longer term if Putin backs off and we, the West, do not push for war crimes to be charged. Then it makes us look like we talk a big game about prosecuting war criminals, but if they're powerful enough, we'll let it slide. Again, unless one is prepared to go all in it's best to give the opposition a way out. Easy to go after someone like Saddam in some chickenshit country that can't do shit in response. Someone who can blast you out of existence, that's a very different story.
lol. When he hangs with the chief negotiator of the usa they'd be Blinkin' and Blinder. "America's law firm. Moving america one piece at a time."
Where did Abrmovich express outright dissent agaisnt Putin and his actions....where did any rich pussy yacht owning russia rapist show any balls against russia's invasion of Ukraine Show me these amazing facts you speak of...
