Who is building up troops on Russia's border?
What leader would yawn and ignore that?
    Biden, Blinken.

  2. Both Biden and Putin know what the off-ramp would look like. It would be Minsk type discussions of autonomy and borders for the eastern-most regions, and agreements that NATO forces would not be increased anywhere in the region above recent levels- before the flare up.

    Talky- talky stuff.

The problem with that, and I think the gentleman/poster from the Ukraine highlighted it roundabout, is whether Biden-Blinken and company will step in the doo-doo and start offering that type of thing without the consent and consultation of the Ukrainians. I doubt that those kinds of negotiations are anything the Ukrainian government is interested in promoting. They may be interested in continuing discussions on ending the border fighting that has been going on for years but any whiff of autonomy mixed in with it get's very dicey, very fast.

You can say that it would be pretty stupid for Biden and company to get into that type of thing without the full support-participation of the Ukrainians but I just assume that if it is something that would be totally stupid that it is something that Biden would do.

You could also argue "well, talk is cheap and everyone knows that the Ukrainians could agree to discussions like that and then do nothing with them. Not really. Most likely the Ukrainian government doesn't want anyone even floating the idea that there is any wiggle room there at all. That idea has been rejected verbally and militarily many times over already. Biden needs to be careful about screwing the Ukrainians over just to protect himself from conflict.

Which propaganda should we believe, the pentagon's trying to rally support, or Ukraine's trying to salvage their
    economy?

EXCLUSIVE Russia moves blood supplies near Ukraine, adding to U.S. concern, officials say

The disclosure of the blood supplies by U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, adds another piece of context to growing U.S. warnings that Russia could be preparing for a new invasion of Ukraine as it masses more than 100,000 troops near its borders.

The Pentagon has previously acknowledged the deployment of "medical support" as part of Russia's buildup. But the disclosure of blood supplies adds a level of detail that experts say is critical to determining Russian military readiness.

Ukraine's deputy defence minister Hanna Malyar denied the information.

"This information is not true. Such 'news' is an element of information and psychological war. The purpose of such information is to spread panic and fear in our society," she said on Facebook.

On Friday, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy criticised a "feeling abroad" that a war had already started. "We don't need this panic," he told reporters in Kyiv. read more

A White House spokesperson did not immediately comment on any Russian movement of blood supplies
but noted repeated public U.S. warnings about Russian military readiness.

    The Pentagon declined to discuss
    intelligence assessments.

The three U.S. officials who spoke about the blood supplies declined to say specifically when the United States detected their movement
to formations near Ukraine. However, two of them said it was within recent weeks.

  4. I mean Putin is possibly going to invade another country... and most of the discussion is about Biden and Trump....

Moving military to the border to cross in and kill people for no reason really....like we went back to 1940s

  7. Where Vlad is running into some bad timing is that Boris is in trouble on the homefront and wants to be ballsy internationally to try to save his arse.

At the same time, Macron is doing the same thing. He has been trying to work this Minsk revival talks thing a bit with the ruskies but he is doing it for domestic audience. He has an election coming up in April. And he sees Germany being weak too and is trying to convince the EU/france that he is Son of Angela.

  10. Sometimes Vlad acts like a KGB agent who was promoted a bit too many levels.

Most likely there is a reason for that.
