Putin says he agrees that his war with Ukraine wouldn't have happened if Trump were president in 2022

    Zoë Richards

Putin thanked Trump for the bilateral meeting this afternoon, and said that Trump was correct in saying that his war with Ukraine would not have begun had he been president in 2022 when the war got underway.

Putin also said that Trump will "help us bring back business life and pragmatic relations between Russia and the U.S."

Because Trump would have simply allowed Putin to seize all of Ukraine.

The US should cut off all military aid to Ukraine including, military cooperation. Tell Zelensky and the NATO warmongers to strike a peace deal with Russia themselves and then, normalize diplomatic and trade relations with Russia. US has more to gain with friendly relations with Russia. Economically, US will gain access to rare earth minerals that Russia has an abundance of and 2nd only to China. Continuing the NATO proxy war in Ukraine only wastes and drains US financial resources, we cannot afford to be wasting with a lot problems in the US, needing those financial resources. The $350 billion the US sent Ukraine could have been used to bolster the Social Security Trust Fund by investing it into an index fund and all earnings plowed back into Social Security. That would have been 100,000% better use of that $350 billion.
