For sure, and I think his judgement is respected - of course an increase of presidential power over the anti-corruption bodies like that can be used to e.g. deal with Russian interference. But neutering the independence of anti-corruption bodies has serious long term implications. The Kyiv Independent's points are valid. I posted it mainly as I think it's important news both as a situation in the immediate term and it's part of painting the longer term picture for Ukraine - although I deeply respect Zelensky he isn't infallible. And in this situation there's zero room for infighting in Ukraine.
Hmnnn,. Maybe those anti-corruption bodies were corrupted themselves and Zelensky could see through their bs. Him getting corrupted would be like Trump going for the third term. Just thinking out loud.
