I think we’re in a pretty good spot with them—and when it comes to the Ukrainians, we’re very comfortable with where we stand.” He said that Russia should recognize the shifting circumstances. Ukraine is in a strong position, and European partners are ramping up and organizing military aid without U.S. involvement — notably under the leadership of the UK and France. “They are very, very ready to strengthen their support for Ukraine if needed,” he added. Kellogg noted that neither side can achieve a total military victory and that the only way out is through diplomacy. “I think the Ukrainians have come to understand that well after last week, and I think the Russians should understand it too,” he concluded.
