Seeing that the Russian army is the second best military in Ukraine... as well as being the second best military in Russia. What army is the Kremlin going to sent to seize Alaska? LOL. Russian leaders are so delusional.
Unable to read tweet due to the corporate computer I'm on. It seems the leadership of Western countries are becoming more coordinated. If so, Russia may want to consider the implications of that. Whether to align or distance from themselves from such cooperation. There may be decent possibilities that China will be involved in a positive way with such coordinated effort as well. I'm guessing any land Russia gains from Ukraine as a result of the second "Special military operation" will come at great cost in geopolitical relationships and international prestige for Russia. At a time when AI is rapidly increasing influence on human development. In other words, Russia is risking being left behind as the rest of the world, including Ukraine, advances.
Boggles my mind sometimes when I stop to think that the GDP of Russia is less than that of either the state of Texas or California. Not combined but each. Yet they are into all these military ventures, international meddling, arms development, funding terrorists, etc, etc. Just imagine if the state of Texas was running its normal governmental and societal programs but also running a special military operation like Russia's on the side. Not sure the Russian people are the beneficiaries of everything Vlad does. They would have to drink a lot of kool aid to arrive at that conclusion. Unfortunately many are.
Hitting those open fields, with a sunrise in background and your horse, doesn't get better than that. (a great movie btw, simple drama and many actors - are such people in reality/better versions) That being said, we forget one key element that makes essential difference, the power of, - On a serious note, maybe, their influence cannot be measured just in GDP. It's hundreds of years of influence, since the vatniks established Novgorod. Had Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Polish, Serbian coworkers, who would turn out to be Putin's supporters for various reasons. Easy to recruit such people as allies. Tho, Texas launching a special military operation, say at the border, would be a thing to see. (big smile) ,, Vamos muchachos ! '' Cartel on the radio*** ~~~~ Sudden huge blast & silence ~~~~
Not sure Chicago, IL and Portland, OR are either. Or where Russian communities have grown in other Western countries and are influenced by either certain legacy cultural or outside forces. The Russian system over the years has seemed to have created, through natural selection perhaps, a culture where people are generally quite smart, but often lacking in initiative. Many with initiative tend to emigrate elsewhere, it seems. Russians with initiative who stay in Russia tend to get imprisoned or worse. Not a winning formula for a country in the long run. Russia's leadership may want to take a hard look at their system and implement needed reforms if they truly want to remain relevant on the world stage. That and take measures to improve geopolitical relations. Starting with Ukraine. Improved relations with neighbors means greater economic opportunity and less spending necessary on security.
No lie there. Let's just say there has been an upsurge of the best and brightest fleeing the country of late as a result of the "special military operation." Even the "lowliest" migrant agricultural worker from Mongolia or Tuva has fled the country out of fear of being mobilized. Even the "great" Russian soldier and army has ended out being replaced or fortified by North Korean zombie soldiers, former Prizoghan freelancers, Kadyrov jihadis and child molesters and murderers released from prison. Putting the "special" in special military operation I guess.

Trump again expressing his displeasure at smaller, weaker victims fighting back. Now he has dragged Ukraine into a dressing room he will be very unhappy if she struggles. "In a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, President Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine should not have fought back against Russia." He is just making up numbers again, thirty thousand tanks?? More like three thousand when the war started. Anybody who voted for him is going straight to hell for this mockery of real sacrifices.
