Russia & Ukraine

  1. Trump, the successful billionaire businessman is an opportunist, you say? Guilty as charged, I'll agree.

I'd talk about Biden and his son, but they're moving on while Ukraine and Russian bodies continue to pile up.

The casualties of war extend beyond the soldiers physically and emotionally injured. The casualties of war extend to the soldier's children, parents, friends, and beyond through war related economic hardships.

While negotiations will not likely be easy, the payoff relative to where we seem to be headed seems immense and clearly worth the effort for all.

  2. NATO increased military spending reduces Russia's relative security, at least indirectly. NATO's resolve, especially in case of a "disappointing" peace settlement, will likely increase. This will likely limit opportunities for Russia for generations, causing stagnation compared to the west. For that matter, compared to the East, as well.

It will likely be a hard sell to allow Russia to benefit from invading Ukraine again, especially given the prior agreement between the countries. It may come down to a choice for Russia: An instant, but temporary gratification, or a durable geopolitical and economic conclusion that paves the path towards long term prosperity.

    NATO doesn't have any resolve.
    USA bleeding Europe hard.
Clowns in Eu commission corrupted as hell.
    Hordes of immigrants invading

I don't understand what you mean invading Ukraine again
Ukraine will become part of Russia or completely dependent state. It's done deal. Russia doesn't care if it's hard sell for anybody. There was a peace agreement in 2022. Ukraine and west chose war.
Now Ukraine will pay with its independence and Europe with its prosperity.

Europe is a loser. Not Russia

The twisted fact-free "reality" of vatiks is quite amazing. I guess this is what you get when combine small minds with excess alcohol consumption.

In the meantime let's catch up with the North Koreans. You know -- the guys who were told they were going on a training exercise and landed up in a war.

N.K. soldier captured by Ukraine says he thought was going to training, not war

  5. There have been lots of posts and articles lately about how well Russia is doing in various areas. Maybe so, but they do not want to start falling behind in the tank on tank and drone warfare departments because- especially if there is not an early settlement- the Ukrainians will grind them down and then mix in some intermittent vicious bliztkrieg attacks. The Ruskies cannot fall back and hide out with their tanks. The Ukrainians will hunt them down.

For The First Time Since 2022, Ukraine May Have A Tank Advantage Over Russia

Ukrainian drones keep Russian tanks away from the front line.

Are you correct, or is Wiki correct? It's impossible for both you and Wiki to be correct.

What you have stated, viz, that there was a "peace agreement" in 2022 is at odds with a detailed account to be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_negotiations_in_the_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine

According to the Wiki article, there were negotiations starting in 2022, but no agreement was reached then or since.

What follows is an excerpt taken from the Wiki article, which is rather extensive. (Underlining is mine) ...

There have been several rounds of peace talks to halt the Russian invasion of Ukraine (2022–present) and end the Russo-Ukrainian War (2014–present). The first meeting was held four days after the start of the invasion, on 28 February 2022, in Belarus. It concluded without result.[1] A second and third round of talks took place on 3 and 7 March 2022[2][3] on the Belarus–Ukraine border.[4] A fourth and fifth round of talks were held on 10 and 14 March in Antalya, Turkey.[5][6]

The negotiations in Turkey produced the Istanbul Communiqué. It proposed that Ukraine end its plans to eventually join NATO, have limits placed on its military, and would have obliged Western countries to help Ukraine in case of aggression against it. The talks almost reached agreement, with both sides considering "far-reaching concessions", but stopped in May 2022, due to several factors, including the Bucha massacre.[7] Following the 2022 Ukrainian eastern counteroffensive, Russia renewed calls for peace talks, but Russian government sources suggested that Putin is not truly committed to peace and was simply stalling for time while its forces trained and replenished for a future advance.[8]

As of 2024, Ukraine's peace terms are that Russia withdraw its troops, that its leaders be prosecuted for war crimes, and that Ukraine have security guarantees. Russia's terms are that Russia must be allowed to keep all the land it occupies, that it also be given all of the provinces that it claims but does not fully control, and that Ukraine end plans to join NATO.

He's a mere troll, he doesn't even know what a Nazi is whilst supporting the closest thing to a Nazi regime since World War 2. Pointless engaging with him because he spoon feeds from his master.
