Being conservative should not be about lacking sophistication and complexity of thought.

    Remembered a funny story.

Had a russian coworker Andrej, who would regularly cross the border into russia, to visit moscov, back and forth. At one point, we had few rough days at work and since i was the early one to always wake up, he asked me ,,Could you call me this morning, - just to make sure that i don't oversleep'' and i was like ,,yeaah, sure no big deal''. (guy missed few shifts)

We both love strategy video games and i don't remember how it evolved about this one, but, i promised ,,Instead of saying anything, i will simply play you this song'' (Game that we both knew)

That same day, the war begun. The song is from video game ,, Red Alert '', russians vs the West.
We both agreed, that there will be no more such calls.

Zelensky doing a hell of a job biting the hands that feed him shutting Russian gas shipments to Europe. He is forgetting one important detail. To be a member of NATO, the other NATO members have to agree to it. So, he probably has the votes of Hungary and Slovakia against him. In addition, a lot of elections will end up removing the warmongering idiots out of power. Olaf Scholz seems headed out the door and others on the way out after the elections in various countries. My guess is President Donald Trump will cut funding to Ukraine which is the only way to force Zelensky to the bargaining table. Russia is destroying Ukrainian forces everywhere. Zelensky's days are numbered. I hope the Russians catch him and try him. A British volunteer who was caught by Russians, on You Tube video says the Ukrainian officers ordered them to kill unarmed civilians. That is a war crime and Zelensky and his cohorts should be tried for it.,

It appears that every town in rural Russia -- including remote islands -- has hundreds of dead bodies shipped home from Putin's war of aggression.

Macabre 'flight of death' carries coffins of 120 soldiers killed in Putin's war
The flights bringing home the dead are becoming a regular occurrence but Russia takes strenuous measures not to show them to the public, fearing a loss of morale

A military plane has carried 120 dead Russian soldiers 5,000 miles home after losing their lives in Putin's war in Ukraine.

They were flown a transit point at Rostov-on-Don, close to Ukraine, to Russia’s largest island Sakhalin, in the Pacific. A total of 120 coffins are in the New Year military plane to remote Sakhalin, off north Japan. It means the total officially-declared war dead in Sakhalin region is 515.

Video footage from inside the aircraft was filmed by a shocked trooper, whose job it was to escort the coffins. He can be heard giving commentary as he films. He said: “Just so you guys understand, there are [more than] 130 people on our plane. Twelve escorts and 120 people in boxes. Just so you understand, these are coffins. There are dead people lying there [killed in the war against Ukraine].”

The endgame in Ukraine: How the war could come to a close in 2025

"I must say that the situation is changing dramatically," Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, declared at his end-of-year news conference in December. "There is movement along the entire front line. Every day."

In eastern Ukraine, Moscow's war machine is gradually churning mile by mile through the wide open fields of the Donbas, enveloping and overwhelming villages and towns.

Some civilians are fleeing before the war reaches them. Others wait until the shells start exploding all around them before packing what belongings they can carry and boarding trains and buses to safety further west.

Russia is gaining ground more quickly than at any time since it launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, despite Kyiv's impressive record of well-publicised asymmetric attacks against its powerful neighbour.
