When Trump was in Paris for the Notre Dame event he received a warm welcome from all the Europeans who have previously treated him like an American peasant. No one requires the Europeans to kiss his arse- just try being polite once in a while and knock off all the superiority sh#t. Trudeau acts superior but is a pubic hair away from going down the toilet (not a European of course but he sides with them in their little moral superiority dance). The Brits change governments every other month. Macron is holding on to power with bondo and duct tape. Olaf Shultz is in exactly the same position as Trudeai, the countdown has begun. My point is that these clowns have been acting like Trump's sh#t stinks and theirs does not. Trump is a simple kind of guy though. When he has been beaten down for years, it meant a lot to him to be treated like a legitimate person/legitimate American leader when he was at Notre Dame. What does this have to do with Ukraine one might ask. Answer: Everything. The European geniuses are beginning to notice that Trump is voicing some areas where he will support Ukraine. At least more than in the past. Hopefully some of the geniuses will notice that when they changed their tune a little, Trump changed his a little. See how it works. The other underdiscussed thing going on is that Trump sees that Germany is in decline and the center of power in Europe is shifting to Poland. He respects them for not being stupid, and for paying far beyond the minimum NATO contribution, and respects their economic growth. He has good rapport with them, and they with him. That relationship does a lot to compensate for his strained relationship with Zelensky and Poland is dead set on holding the ground against Russia in the region. In addition, Trump's two closet military advisors, Gen. Jack Keene and Gen. Keith Kellogg are also dead set on containing Russia. They tell Trump everyday the last thing that Trump wants to hear which is that he is being played by Putin and they no that Trump loathes the idea that anyone is playing him. To Trump's credit he listens to them or at least keeps them close. Just sayin', Putin will get a lot of what he wants but he better be damn sure that he does not put Trump in a position where it looks like he is being weak and being played by Putin because Trump will not react well to that. So all those factors are in motion.

Let's address the reality. One primary reason Putin invaded Ukraine was to seize the natural resources in eastern Ukraine which are worth at least $8 Trillion. Trump's reversal on Ukraine is all about grifting for himself and his buddies. He wants in on the $15 Trillion in natural resources in Ukraine. Zelenskyy probably promised Trump all sorts of businesses would be sold to Trump's buddies at a steep discount if Trump jumped on board. At this point most world leaders know how to "play" Trump -- appealing to his ego and greed. Zelenskyy is effectively using these tactics right now to steer Trump. The rebuilding of Ukraine coupled with natural resources would be a big win for Trump's grifting community. A very weakened Russia has nothing to offer Trump at this point -- so Trump might as well back Ukraine if there is some money to be made. Of course, this would require a "peace agreement" in which Russia leaves eastern Ukraine where the most valuable resources are located. Russia may be able to keep Crimea (as their "victory") in any type of proposed deal. With Trump, it is all about the grift.
