It’s the beginning of the ending, just as sending national guard troops onto college campuses was the beginning of the ending phase for the Americans in Vietnam.

I said at the outset that “it would be impossible for Russia to win” their war in Ukraine for the same reason it was impossible for the Americans to win in Vietnam. History may not repeat, but it certainly does rhyme.

So far Ukraine has cost me over a million euro. I might get a medal someday or a mention in a document.

You know that in the Bible there is a passage that says you shall not allow a witch to live. This is a mistranslation, its not witch but poisoner. And the Russian kleptoligarchy like their poisons.

Nobody wants to kill young men, better to kill the big pigs, no?

  5. NATO and their evil daddy the united states government have successfully bled Russia and evil doer Putin, all at the expense of several hundred thousand Ukrainians and the demolition of their country. I suppose congratulations is in order, if you're a war mongering sociopath. Well done.

Ah yes surrendering their independence and getting genocided by Russia without a fight would be much better. Moron.

Biden could however ended the conflict in days by showing overwhelming military force - and it would have been far cheaper. An even cheaper solution would have been making clear to Putin he should F'k off and Ukraine would receive full US support in the event of a full invasion, before the invasion even started. The fact Biden let it go on until the entirety of his term will stain his name in history.

Political Survival vs. Security: A Calculated Gamble that cost Ukraine a sooner peace.

Netanyahu's political survival has long been tethered to his ability to outmaneuver protests, legal challenges, and a fractured electorate. In the lead-up to the attack, there is compelling evidence that his government willfully ignored clear and repeated warnings about preparations for such an assault. This inaction wasn't borne of ignorance but of deliberate calculation.

The evidence suggests that Netanyahu downplayed the looming threat to avoid scrutiny and criticism during a politically volatile period. Instead of addressing these warnings head-on, he prioritized consolidating power, maintaining control over controversial policies, and neutralizing his political adversaries.

When the attack came, Netanyahu's strategy unfolded as anticipated. The crisis galvanized public support, allowing him to cling to power under the banner of national unity. Throughout the war, he leveraged the chaos to entrench his position, dividing and weakening his opposition while presenting himself as indispensable to Israel’s survival.

OH BUT BIBI WOULD NEVER DO THAT! sure..

History shows that leaders who hold power for too long fall into a dangerous pattern of rationalizing their decisions as “necessary sacrifices” for the greater good, or, more accurately, for their continued rule. The dead, "mekadesh hashem", aka martyrs.

Israel operates within a lethal framework of national identity, where ego and a deep belief in divine destiny intersect.

  8. You're kinda right, yet wrong. We and NATO instigated the war and then sit back to watch others do our bidding.
Yes, what Biden should have done is made the argument to the American people that Putin is so dangerous that we must stop him. We, the great and brave Americans will take the fight to him. We, the defenders of freedom and democracy will send our sons and daughters to die by the hundreds of thousands if necessary to get the job done. Just a wee bit of a problem with that. Biden, or anyone else could not make a compelling argument to support that, so our government, as per usual, found a patsy to do the dirty work for us. Of course, pussies that they are, are happy to handle the financial end of things. Fucking cowards.

Ah, the lamenting a little inflation though benefiting from other increases, and then voting for a fascist under the guise of wanting 'peace without cost', as if bullying others into submission doesn't come with a price. And yet, it's others who supposedly lack honor and decency?

That's cognitive dissonance on a level only a truly stupid person can reach.
