They don't go from zero preparations in that case.

Either way, it may or may not be true. What I am saying I am not ruling out it can be.

It can also be as @Tuxan says.

South Korean media, citing the NIS, reported that North Korea has decided to dispatch a total of 12,000 troops formed into four brigades to Russia. The NIS did not immediately confirm the reports.

If confirmed, it would be North Korea’s first major participation in a foreign war. North Korea has 1.2 million troops, one of the largest militaries in the world, but it lacks actual combat experience.

More meat for Putin’s grinder. Seeing that North Korea can’t even feed its soldiers and civilians this move is not surprising. Kim Jong Un needs to dispose of some of his population.

South Korean Intelligence Announces Deployment of 12,000 North Korean Soldiers to Russia.
The war in Ukraine has taken a new and alarming turn with North Korea's active participation alongside Russia. South Korean intelligence services announced on October 18, 2024, that Pyongyang has decided to send a military contingent of 12,000 soldiers to reinforce Russian troops, a level of support that goes beyond the simple transfer of weaponry. However, it should be noted that there is currently no formal evidence confirming the direct involvement of North Korean soldiers in the Ukrainian conflict.

Can't find the link, but South Koreans said that they will send direct aid if North Koreans joins front lines.

Sweden Sends Ukraine Entire Stock of 300 APCs

Between 1966 and 2014, Sweden used the Pansarbandvagn 302 (PBV 302) as their highly mobile, tracked infantry fighting vehicle.

Pansarbandvagn directly translates to “armor track wagon.”

The APC bears a striking resemblance to the US-made M113, albeit, not as boxy. In other words, this baby’s got curves.

It’s fitted with the powerful 20 mm Hispano-Suiza type 804 cannon. The 20 mm round is the smallest caliber of autocannon but arguably packs as much of a punch as the M2 Browning .50 caliber found on the M113.

An airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system is an airborne radar early warning system designed to detect aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles and other incoming projectiles at long ranges, as well as performing command and control of the battlespace in aerial engagements by informing and directing friendly fighter and attack aircraft

Until now Ukraine relied on it's NATO allies for intelligence and now they can gather it themselves.

Ukraine Getting Swedish Airborne Early Warning Radar Planes Is A Big Deal

In a major new development for the Ukrainian military, Sweden is to provide it with two Saab 340 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft equipped with Erieye radar. The donation is part of Sweden’s biggest military aid package for Ukraine so far and the aircraft will bring an entirely new capability for the Ukrainian Air Force, providing much-enhanced air and sea surveillance and while working as a big force multiplier for its forthcoming F-16 fighters.

The Swedish government today announced details of what it calls Military Support Package 16, worth around $1.25 billion and focused on “collective air defense.” At the core of this is the Saab 340 AEW&C aircraft — which is known in Swedish military service as the ASC 890 and alternatively as the S 100D Argus. The Swedish Air Force operates two of these aircraft and the wording of statements from Swedish and Ukrainian officials suggest that both will be provided to Kyiv, although this is so far unconfirmed.

I think that stuff is in Ukraine now since that was back in end of May. Oh yeah I'm not a medium subscriber anymore, maybe it says in the article lol.

The PBV is not armored well enough for modern front service, but it beats sitting in a civilian vehicle by far, obviously. Plus you can drive around with that in mud.
