For sure, nothing is ideal in warfare and you got to make do with what you have. UA has placed many of its most experienced troops in Kursk to conduct offensive operations whereas new troops learn to fight in the trenches in the east for the most part. For over a year UA has been trading ground for Russian casualties, but in the case of Pokrovsk it will be interesting to see what they do, as this location actually has some strategic importance and needs to be defended if possible.

They're going to pay for that with a lot of lost territory elsewhere.

Somehow you have missed that Ukraine has seized more of Russia in a mere three weeks than Russia has seized of Ukraine over the past year.

"russia" will pay and pay and pay.

It will be up to Vladimir Putin to end this Ukraine war because the US, NATO and their stooge Zelensky does not care and only want to make monies. No matter how many millions get killed in the process. Time to go scorched earth for Russia. This slow walking the Russian offensive in the hopes NATO comes to their senses is not working and will not work at all. So, go all out and totally annihilate the Ukraine army. That is the only way. First, destroy all arms and weapons depots, masses of Ukraine troops and volunteers, wherever they may be. Destroy all airfields including, fighter jets on the tarmac. Then, use glide bombs and go after the major command posts including, those staffed by NATO officers. Send the message that the end is near and there is no place to hide for Ukrainian top officials and their masters. Russia can then impose its terms on Ukraine like the US did to Japan after the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Looks like there is hope after all for the Ukrainian army. Reports of huge numbers of Ukrainian soldiers refusing to follow orders and others just simply deserting and abandoning their posts on the frontlines. They are doing themselves a favor by saving their lives. Rather than fighting the Russians and being killed in huge numbers for nothing. Zelensky still busy enriching himself and does not care one bit about them.
