Let's see how Russia is forcing people into it's army as Russians flee the nation avoid conscription.

The basic formula is to lure poor foreigners to Russia with the false promise of high paying jobs. Then shove them into the Russian army and ship them to Ukraine.

US jamming technology is significantly worse than Russia's, ex-Pentagon officials warn

      • Former US officials said the US is falling behind in its electronic warfare capabilities.
      • Russia has developed sophisticated electronic warfare weapons.
      • It's using it to neutralize US weapons given to Ukraine.
The US has been outclassed by its rivals, such as Russia, in its capacity to remotely take out enemy weapons using jamming technology, according to former US military officials.

Mike Nagata, a retired US Army lieutenant general who led special operations in the Middle East, said that the US is "still falling behind" in its electronic warfare capabilities, reported Defense One.

Electronic warfare units, which use electronic signals to remotely scramble the GPS coordinates used to guide weapons, have played a key role in Russia's war in Ukraine.

As I outlined earlier, it does not make sense to defend villages near the border which have little strategic and tactical value, most which are nearly indefensible -- simply to have pride in not giving territory to the aggressor. It makes more sense to defend key strategic assets in locations where the terrain aids in their defense, even while giving up some territory. It appears that Ukraine is moving in this direction.

Soon the Kremlin can actually announce they have captured 12 villages. Sure the villages are bombed out wastelands, but Russia will have 12 villages at the cost of thousands of troops.

Ukraine announces significant retreat as Zelensky cancels trips amid major Russian offensive
Ukraine on Wednesday said it had pulled back troops near several villages in the northeastern Kharkiv region, where Russian forces have been advancing and pounding settlements in a new offensive along the border.

Most AFU fled or surrendered but some are encircled in Volchansk and want to fight. With any luck they will decide to surrender too.

Looks like Russia is potentially having its cuckoo operatives to assassinate leaders in Slovakia now based on some social media posts. We will see how this info holds up as more mainstream details come out about the 71 year old poet assassin who was previously a security guard.

Seeing that Fico tilts pro-Russian, it does not make much sense that the Russians would be behind someone taking him out -- this assassin may just be a typical nutcase.

OUT OF TROOPS Ukraine warns it has no more reserves as Putin masses half a MILLION fighters on frontline in pivotal moment for West

RUSSIA massed tens of thousands of troops and tanks and launched a major new ground offensive on northeastern Ukraine on Friday and has seized miles on ground quickly.

The blitz, said to be the first stage of Russia’s summer offensive, is designed to stretch Ukraine’s already outnumbered defenders.

Kyiv said the Russian push appeared to have run out of steam last night — but, in the face of Putin’s 500,000-strong force, warned that could change quickly.

UK defence secretary Grant Shapps said the world is taking its "eye off the ball" after the recent Russian attacks.

The maths never worked for the Ukranians.

If Russia has 1.5million of its best men in total. And Ukraine has 0.5million of its best men in total.

The Ratio is 3:1 in favour of Russia.

Lets say 0.25 million get out of action on both sides from death and injury.

Now Russia has 1.25million men and ukraine has only 0.25million men.

The ratio is now 5:1 in favour of Russia.

And this ratio keeps getting worse and worse for Ukraine the longer the war goes on...

So the Ukrainians have to resort more to conscripting not so good men off the streets and prisons to try and get the numbers up. Desperate measures. Those men are never going to be as good.
