Those FAB 1500 glide bombs are game changers, have been smashing the poor Ukranians soldiers. And even more powerful FAB 3000 glide bombs are on the way. Quote from Ukranian military officers: "guided aerial bombs have been smashing Ukrainian positions for weeks now"
100s maybe even 1000s of these huge FAB 3000 fuckers are going to be dropped on the poor Ukranian frontline conscripts over the next year. Ukraine has no defence against them.
Russian FAB Glide Bombs are inaccurate weapons of terror being aimed at Ukrainian cities and towns. Did you ever find a video of a FAB being useful on the battlefield by destroying an armored vehicle. GPS jamming at the front (by both sides) ensures the inaccuracy of FABs. Russian propaganda about FABs is one thing. Reality is another. Russian artillery and drones are much more of a concern on battlefield front lines than FABs.
Politico quoted ukrainian officers: "guided aerial bombs (by that they mean Fab 500 and Fab1500) have been smashing Ukrainian positions for weeks now" They have been fitted with accurate GPS, down to 5meter accuracy. Is Politico a Russian propaganda website? Politico, is a Washington based digital newspaper. 2024 Allsides.com rates Politicos media bias as Leans Left. "Leans Left" so i guess Politico is pro Biden.
Once again -- as noted in multiple articles the FAB glide bombs are only useful for hitting fixed targets (buildings). Near the front lines FABs have been used to "hit thermal power plants, factories and tower blocks - places from which the Ukrainians coordinate their defenses". The Ukrainians have adjusted to this onslaught at the front after taking casualties to various headquarter locations. The Russians have also used FABs to bombard and pulverize towns near the front - which is not much different than artillery doing the same thing. When it comes to making hits on armored vehicles or anything the least bit mobile -- well, the FABs are useless.
More from the Politico article. “But often, we just don’t get the weapons systems at the time we need them — they come when they’re no longer relevant,” another senior officer said, citing the F-16 fighter jets as an example. A dozen or so F-16s are expected to be operational this summer, after basic pilot training has been completed. “Every weapon has its own right time. F-16s were needed in 2023; they won’t be right for 2024,” he said. And that’s because, according to this officer, Russia is ready to counter them: “In the last few months, we started to notice missiles being fired by the Russians from Dzhankoy in northern Crimea, but without the explosive warheads. We couldn’t understand what they were doing, and then we figured it out: They’re range-finding,” he said. The officer explained that Russia’s been calculating where best to deploy its S-400 missile and radar systems in order to maximize the area they can cover to target the F-16s, keeping them away from the front lines and Russia’s logistical hubs.
BLOOMBERG ARTICLE According to Bloomberg, the artillery gap has grown to 7-to-1 and allies are scrambling to source more shells. (Hint: they don’t exist, at least not in sufficient numbers.) “Zelenskiy’s allies are increasingly concerned that a summer offensive by the Russians could break through Ukraine’s defenses.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...g-ukraine-s-allies-in-the-race-for-ammunition
