article below. One of the things that is becoming obvious is that this war is NOT necessarily going to be like WW1, although it will be and has been in many ways. Yes, the lines are not moving, and yes, it is an artillery war, and yes, there is a stalemate or close to one anyway. The thing that is DIFFERENT though is that even if front lines do not move, both sides, -especially Ukraine though- have these damn drones that can reach out and do damage well beyond on the front lines. And that is not going to go away anytime soon. The reach of the drones is advancing even though the front lines are not. Not only are they doing damage deeper into Russia but they are doing damage/major damage to the Black Fleet. Even though the front lines may or may not have moved. Or may have moved against the Ukrainians. And the F16's are arriving soon so that is something for the Ruskies to think about. As always, I concede that the Ukrainians are in a bad spot so no one should get giddy. Just sayin, I could see a situation where Ukraine loses some more turf, and also takes down the Crimean Bridge, takes down a few more Ruskie warships, and sets part of St. Petersburg on fire- all while not making much progress on the ground. Again, not totally like WW1 trench warfare. Russian Oil Refinery Catches Fire Following Ukrainian Drone Attacks A Lukoil refinery in western Russia is on fire following a drone attack early on Tuesday local time in what appears to be several coordinated attacks by drones from Ukraine on Russian refinery and fuel facilities. A crude processing unit at the refinery in Nizhny Novgorod is on fire after a drone attack was carried out on Tuesday morning, Gleb Nikitin, governor of Nizhny Novgorod, wrote on his Telegram channel. Investigators and fire brigades are working to contain the fire at one of the refinery’s units, Nikitin said, adding that preliminary reports say there have been no injuries https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-...s-Fire-Following-Ukrainian-Drone-Attacks.html

Great, maybe they should work on their planes too, they can't even take off. Russian military cargo plane crashes with 15 on board
If it is a stalemate, with WW1 trench and modern drone warfare going on, then the side with more men will eventually win. It is just a matter of time. Simple maths, Ukrainians, with a much smaller overall population, will run out of good fighting age men before Russia does. This is why Macron recently said he wants to send French soldiers in. If Ukraine wasnt running out of good men, there would zero reason for him to say that..
If Biden had given Ukraine the right weapons man power wouldn't be an issue.Top US weapons make up for a lot of man power which is why in 20 + years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan there was less than 7,000 US troop deaths. Unfortunately Biden is a fucking moron who has fucked up Ukraine like he fucks up everything he does.
In Russia's continuing annals of play stupid games, win stupid prizes; the Russian military is looking for any excuse it can to dismiss wounded soldiers so it doesn't have to pay for their treatment. Thread Reader - https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1766195086683996525.html
