Some more info on Andriivka (near Bakhmut) The events around Andriivka are even more devastating for the Russian army than anticipated. According to the Ukrainian 3rd Separate Assault Brigade the village was completely surrounded, killing command staff of Russian 72nd Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and trapping some parts of the brigade. During the entire battle, large portions of the army unit were destroyed or captured, effectively destroying the entire Russian 72nd Separate Motor Rifle Brigade. The destruction of this Russian army unit rips a hole in the Russian defenses south of Bakhmut and further complicates the situation for the Russian army which already has sent large reserves to the Zaporizhzhia Front, exposing other frontlines such as this one.
And now the flagship of the Russian Black Sea fleet, "Admiral Makarov" for some reason cannot make it under its own power and is being towed back to base. Wonder why. In other news, Russia has redeployed three large amphibious assault ships from the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov. You know, just in case.
this village has 20 completely destroyed houses and ukrainians tried to capture it for 3 months What they probably destroyed is only 5 own brigades eventually taking 3 pows at best
i wouldn't be surprised to see an increased series of drone attacks against Moscow. The reason being that the Ukrainians want to take Crimea and have been increasing their attacks on the Kerch Bridge and Sevatopol- and those areas are screaming for more aerial defense systems. But they are screaming for more defense systems in Moscow and at some of the military bases in the oblast. Plus attacks on Moscow infuriate the hardliners and Russian TV types. So by increasing the attacks on Moscow and Engels air base, etc. Putin is forced to keep more aerial defense systems there that he would like to place in Crimea. The Russians cannot protect everything, as they are finding out. The arrival of the ATACM's will make it even worse for their aerial defense requirements. The Ukrainians can reach all the way across the landbridge (including the rail lines) and the entire city of Belgorod too. Belgorod is major site for launching missiles and organizing troops and supplies headed down to the front.
