“Nearly 18 months into the Russian invasion of Ukraine now, amidst last week’s failed coup attempt, battlefield setbacks, and global diplomatic condemnation, Putin is coming under increasing strain to finance his increasingly-expensive war—and there’s a history lesson for how this will all end,” Time reports.

“Far from the prevailing narrative on how Putin funds his invasion, Putin’s financial lifeline has his merciless cannibalization of Russian economic productivity. He has been burning the living room furniture to fuel his battles in Ukraine, but that is now starting to backfire amidst a deafening silence and dearth of public support. That is far from the prevailing narrative on how Putin funds his invasion. Ample western commentators posit that Putin is pulling in billions from trade to finance the invasion thanks to high commodity prices, weak western sanctions, and sanctions evasion.”

Another post devoid of content defending Mother Russia because fee fees got hurt.

    Everything is normal in Russia

Russia’s Budget Gap Surges to Record as War Hits Finances
    • Revenues hit by oil-price limits as spending on invasion grows
    • Government expects deficit this year of 2% of GDP on $70 oil
The fiscal gap reached a record 3.9 trillion rubles ($56 billion) last month, according to Bloomberg calculations based on preliminary government data released Tuesday. That brought the full-year shortfall to about 3.3 trillion rubles, reversing a surplus in the 11 months of the year.

Thank you for making MY point. A few dozen billion shortfall for the year for Russia is literally nothing. But how would you know that, even the concept of percent of GDP escapes you. You are completely clueless about things concerning economics. Perhaps better you return to talk about emotions and feelings.

Mother Russia defender is triggered, lecturing about numbers and percentages when the clown doesn't even know what he is talking about and as usual posts zero numbers or sources. This is the same clown who had to be told that there is no free speech in Russia and when told, pretends to ignore the topic.

Russia's entire military budget is a paltry 80 billion dollars, a few dozen aka 56 billion loss is not a small amount for a shit hole like Russia.

Tell use Mr.Math, how do those numbers look.

The week before last you tried to lecture us how Russia is on its knees and won't last another month. Good luck with this prediction. Are you still feeling butthurt regarding RvW, cancellation of affirmative action and the killing of the student debt cancellation disaster? Good to know there still are conscious judges in the highest court. Two of the three important decisions just happened in a single week. Great week. How was yours?

The numbers on the budget deficit in Russia are a joke. Every knowledgeable economist can confirm this.

I never used the phrase 'on its knees', why you keep lying?

Why are you trying to change the topic?

Numbers come from the Russian government, where is the joke? Why don't you elaborate instead of this hit and run posts with zero data, links or numbers.
