Why would I? Personal choice I don't. Even having kids is a personal choice. Not everyone is suited to have kids. If you can't afford kids or are unable to provide them with proper education then don't have kids.
Explain why this is not a personal choice. Nobody forces anyone to have children. Can you name an example of someone who must have kids and as a result could not provide for the child? Condoms or birth control pills too expensive? They are handed out for free in Canada (thanks to the policies you yourself support)
- Hispanics sans Puerto Ricans. Welfare decimates ambition. Free Food, free education and free healthcare makes for an easy life in the big cities. If there is a problem with gangs, it their own people who are committing the crime.
Just a thought really.. Welfare does not however decimate ambition in developed countries who's populations have been through solid universal education. Something that the US was perfectly capable of enforcing in it's territory Puerto Rico. In 2022, the average SAT score for Puerto Rico was 513, while the national US average was 1051.
Nothing is free, all that healthcare and education is financed by higher taxes, at least here in Canada. Agree on the statement that welfare decimates ambition. Very few individuals fall on such hard times that they become welfare recipients. Most welfare recipients are lifelong "patients" suckling on the tits of the welfare state. Must be nice to sit around and collect freebies. None of those individuals give the appearance that they are ashamed and try their utter best to get away from welfare support. But that is again denied by the left wing idiologists. I stick to real world observation and empirical evidence rather than listen to idiology and lies.
Poor people don't have that choice. Do you know how schools are funded and operated? There is zero choice if you live in a poor neighborhood. Your arguments are so lazy and thoughtless, what else to expect from conservatives anyway.
That is the biggest bullshit I ever heard. To succeed in life you don't need to attend private schools. Never in history have we had access to this much content for free online. There are enough willing to teach, one does not need to sit in a classroom. I learned nothing useful in public highschool and still succeeded in life. I attribute this to my natural curiosity to self-learn and study hard to acquire knowledge and skills. We have to stop blaming everyone else for our demons that we ourselves are tasked to conquer. And please don't counter with some crap like no money for internet access. Every slum kid in America has a mobile phone with a fat multi GB data plan. Plus there are public libraries in even the most desolate of shit holes. If you want to learn then you can. Nothing and nobody hinders you. It's the attitude that sets a successful individual apart from the perpetual loser. I volunteer to teach computer courses to underprivileged folks in town. Many only sporadically show up and display a very demeaning attitude. They joined with a shit attitude and probably leave with a shit attitude to life. As said, much easier to freeload than work for it.
Who said anything about private schools? We are talking about public schools, they vastly differ in quality depending on where you live because the way they are funded. Do you anything about what you are debating?
