Whose sovereign territory? What was the name of the country Jews "invaded" before 1948? What was its flag? What was its currency? Did it have a national anthem? Did it have its own laws? Government or parliament? Who was its head?

Putin broke a well, well know rule of empire building/rebuilding thats been repeated by disconnected kings emperors and tsars over and over in angering a population. In the end there will be a decade or two of coldness and hard feelings between Ukraine and Russia. Of course AI will throw a spanner into the works for the entirety of humanity except for some lucky uncontacted fellas in the rainforests.

I was just talking about this with a friend. This for example is just one of a long series of strong arm brutality tactics that lost the British their empire.

"The deployment of the Black and Tans to Ireland by Winston Churchill in 1920 was a significant event in the Irish War of Independence. The Black and Tans were a paramilitary force made up of ex-soldiers and ex-prisoners, and they were sent to Ireland to help the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) suppress the Irish Republican Army (IRA). The Black and Tans were notorious for their brutality, and their actions helped to turn public opinion in Ireland against British rule.

The Black and Tans (named for their uniform colours) were deployed to Ireland in response to the growing popularity of the IRA. The IRA had been formed in 1919, and it quickly gained support among the Irish people. The IRA's goal was to achieve Irish independence from Britain, and it used violence to achieve its goals. The British government was worried about the IRA's growing popularity, and it decided to send the Black and Tans to Ireland to help the RIC suppress the IRA.

The Black and Tans were a brutal force, and they quickly earned a reputation for violence and intimidation. They burned down houses, looted businesses, and killed civilians. The Black and Tans' actions helped to turn public opinion in Ireland against British rule. Many Irish people saw the Black and Tans as an occupying army, and they supported the IRA's fight for independence.

The Black and Tans were withdrawn from Ireland in 1922, but their legacy continues to this day. They are seen as a symbol of British brutality and oppression, and they helped to popularize the cause for Irish independence.

Here are some of the specific ways in which the deployment of the Black and Tans helped to popularize the cause for independence:

    • The Black and Tans' brutality alienated many Irish people who had previously been supportive of the British government.
    • The Black and Tans' actions helped to increase support for the IRA.
    • The Black and Tans' deployment made it clear to the British government that it could not suppress the Irish independence movement by force.
As a result of these factors, the deployment of the Black and Tans helped to create the conditions that led to the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921, which granted Ireland independence.

Of course (like they say all's fair in love and war), but which side was the aggressor .... from the very start.

Sure, let's ignore history because it's all so convenient for your side. But good, you take a stance. Then also accept Russia's win if they turn out to be the victors. After all what happened before now should also apply to tomorrow.

Sure then the US is to blame for the stolen land of the indigenous and enslaving thousands of blacks. Pay your due, asshole, and while we are at it return the land your forefathers blatantly stole from others and move back to wherever your ilk came from.

The land was settled long before Jews arrived. So you take the same stance with the US? Because the indigenous did not have a flag and currency justifies the theft of their land? You left ilk are so fucking hypocritical its laughable.
