Russian radio broadcasts panicked Putin's address due to "invasion by Armed Forces of Ukraine"
    https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/06/5/7405385/

In Rostov, Belgorod and Voronezh oblasts in Russia, radio broadcast an address of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in which he called upon Russians to evacuate to the interior of the country due to the invasion by the Ukrainian army and announced mobilisation.
Local authorities and the Kremlin claim that the address is fake.

Source: Russian independent media outlet Meduza, referring to anonymous Telegram channels; Russian Kremlin-aligned news agency RIA Novosti, referring to the statement by Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov; Operative Staff of Belgorod Oblast

Quote: "Russians, fellow citizens, brothers and sisters. Today at 4:00, the Ukrainian troops, armed by the NATO bloc, upon agreement and with the support of Washington, invaded the territory of Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk oblasts. Our border guards and the armed forces are courageously fighting back against the prevailing forces of the aggressor.

Martial law has been implemented in the territory of Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk oblasts according to my order. Today, I will sign an order about general mobilisation, as we will need to unite all forces of the Russian Federation in order to defeat a dangerous and cunning enemy."

Details: In his address to the residents of Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk oblasts, Putin called upon them to evacuate deeper into the country.

Peskov called the address fake and claimed that control over the broadcast had been restored. The authorities in the regions believe that the address was intended to spread panic.

I was using A.I recently to replicate a voice of one game character. Not everything turns out smooth, but few chosen/selected lines & it's very hard to tell the difference.
Like, there was none of that A.I electric/robotic/synthetic part left.

For ordinary russians, on a radio, i bet they bought into it.

IMO opinion it almost appears like the possible plan for Ukraine's upcoming offense includes swinging a large Ukrainian military force through this region of Russia and then attacking the Russian invaders in Ukraine from the back. This operation is get around all the mines and front-line obstacles the Russians have erected in Ukraine.

However in order to do this they really need the Russian civilian population cleared out of this area around Belegrod. This is important from the perspective of reducing civilian casualties -- since certainly there will be Russian resistance to a large-scale Ukrainian incursion to swing through this area.

The "small-scale" conflict waged by the "Freedom of Russia Legion" coupled with the radio broadcast are just tactics to clear this area of Russia civilians prior to a larger assault via transit through this area.

This is just my opinion and one possible scenario for the upcoming Ukrainian offense which will likely involve several fronts, not just one. It could be the uproar in the Belegrod region is merely meant to distract the Russians and there in no intent to use the area as a transit corridor.

I will note that reports coming out today indicate several strong Ukrainian attacks have been launched in the Ukrainian region of Donetsk. "There is not an all-out assault, but also that the level of forces being committed are non-trivial. These are not exploratory raids, but most likely probing attacks, searching for local Russian weaknesses."

I expect we won't hear much from the vatnik crowd except for their usual whataboutism nonsense -- as they try to change the subject.

Ukraine stepped up artillery strikes and ground assaults, as U.S. officials pointed to signs it had begun a long-anticipated counteroffensive.

The officials based their assessment in part on information from U.S. military satellites, which detected an uptick in action from Ukrainian military positions.

Certain Russian reports from the Belgorod sound just pathetic.

"Ukrainian forces in attacking N. Tavolzhanka used an MI-8 helicopter. It was used to launch 80-mm C-8 rockets at our troops. We could not do anything. Only after we called in fighter planes, the helicopter was chased away."

The Russian Army has NO reserves. At all. A lone enemy helicopter in a normal combat environment is nothing but a juicy target. But not for Russians today. The most they manage to do is "chase it away". And that is because even the fighter planes they call up are afraid to come close because they are so easily shot down if they do.

In other reports, Russians have very heavy casualties (including a KIA Colonel and his HQ) in Belgorod region. Again note: that's not occupied Ukraine.
