It's like the Soviet era again with Putin having scientists arrested on fabricated grounds simply due to military and production setbacks.

Putin warned his hypersonic missile programme faces ‘impending collapse’
Four leading scientists working on Russia's hypersonic missile programme in Siberia have been jailed and charged with treason in the past 10 months.
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1771720/Russia-hypersonic-missiles-collapse-scientists-arrests

Russian hypersonic missile scientists have issued a rare public protest against the Kremlin calling for the nation’s secret service, FSB, to stop arresting their colleagues as the crackdown is causing the “impending collapse” of their research. Russia’s “unstoppable” hypersonic missiles have been largely shot down by Ukrainian air defences in the past month as its Western supporters continue to supply some of the world’s most sophisticated anti-missile systems, and the Kremlin has responded by changing the rules regarding treason and imprisoning the scientists behind their research programme.

Now, scientists from the Novosibirsk-based Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics have warned in an open letter that the arrests are damaging research into hypersonic technology and “spooking” potential new employees.

The scientists told the Russian government they cannot continue with their work unless the FSB stops arresting researchers at their Siberian institute.

The rare act of protest raises further questions over Russia’s ability to develop the hi-tech weaponry it needs for its war in Ukraine as issues with missile shortages are already undermining their efforts.

Welcome back to the good ole' Soviet times...

‘It’s like the USSR’: residents on life in Mariupol a year since Russian occupation
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...e-in-mariupol-a-year-since-russian-occupation

“I feel as if I’ve fallen into some terrible submerged and downtrodden collective farm. The shops are primitive and the prices astronomical,” one said. “The city isn’t the one I knew. The people are not the same. Everything is changed. I have a permanent feeling of wanting to go home.”

Kinzhal and others are not "hypersonic missiles". Any ballistic missile is "hypersonic" at some stage but at the stage of approaching the target neither Kinzhal nor others are "hypersonic" and can be shot down, as has been demonstrated.

Have you noticed that three Kinzhal chief project engineers have been arrested and thrown in jail a few days ago? Coincidence?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday reacted to remarks by former US President Donald Trump that he would end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours if re-elected as the president of the US.

During Zelensky’s visit to Rome, he was asked by a reporter for his response to Trump’s remarks, to which he said: “(When Trump was the US President) there was no full-scale invasion, but there was a war. There was already a Russian aggression. Crimea was occupied, part of Donbas was occupied. I'm not sure if he was deeply involved into this matter, but, nevertheless, he did not solve this issue. I'm not sure it was a priority for him. I am not accusing him of anything. But we have the facts. And we have to look at them,” Zelensky said.

Understandably diplomatic of him not to bring up the reason for Dump's first impeachment.

Also besides that Zel has got Trumpers in Congress to keep in mind and "play nice" so weapons keep coming.
