This is obvious to the Russian conscripts already... it's not like they need to be told.

P.S. -- good luck to them in getting paid.

Russian commanders tell their soldiers they are "cannon fodder": Ukraine’s General Staff on Russian forces' morale
    https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/05/6/7400990/

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that commanders in a unit of Russian forces currently based in the village of Mulino in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, are openly referring to their subordinates as "cannon fodder"; 50% of the unit’s personnel have been unable to obtain their payment cards.

Source: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook

Quote from the General Staff: "There is more and more information about low morale among enemy forces. Commanders of an occupation forces unit stationed in the village of Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, are openly referring to their subordinates as ‘cannon fodder’.

[Russian] military personnel also complain about medical care, and a lack of personal protection and equipment. Around 50% of military personnel are unable to obtain their payment cards and are concerned that their families might not receive their money in case of their death."

Details: The General Staff also said that Russian occupation forces continue to loot businesses on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and rob the residents of those territories. For instance, they have stolen all vehicles belonging to the Elektropivdenmontazh-10, an electrical services provider in Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The organisation’s warehouse has been looted, and all of its equipment and tools have been taken away.

You can support the war by sending the gear too. Donating.

No army ever lasted without logistics.

  10. Prigo playing a lot of games but he is also winning a lot of games with the Kremlin.

Shoigu/ Gerasimov and Putin are not the winners here.

Not only are the hardliners- once again- telling Putin and Shoigu to support Prigo, but the Butcher of Mariupol General who Putin fired last week is now working with Wagner and in charge at Bakhmut.

Prigo wants Putin's job and the Butcher General wants Shoigu's job. They are making some progress too.

Of course, the Ukrainians get to have a say in it. If the Russians are defeated at Bakhmut, well, then that makes Prigo's plans more difficult. The winners are also the Ukrainian soldiers in the other counteroffensives to come. Russia does not have the supplies and arms to ramp up more in Bakhmut without taking it from another conflict zone. Russia may take Bakhmut, but then they will look over and see the Ukrainian soldiers in control at the land bridge to Crimea. No free lunch here for the Russians in Bakhmut even if they take it.

Wagner group signals it will stay in Bakhmut after threat to quit

The head of Russia’s Wagner mercenary group appeared on Sunday to ditch plans to withdraw his forces from Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine after receiving promises overnight that they would get all the arms needed to capture the devastated city.
