Putin & Russia is likely to go "scorched earth" on Ukraine now that his initial effort to take over the country is failing. This means the Russian tactics will involve the leveling of cities via artillery & rocket involvement including TOS-1 thermobaric weapons -- irrespective of civilian casualties. Sort of a repeat of Syria on a larger scale. ‘The more successful the Ukraine is against Russia, the more likely Putin is to go scorched Earth’: Lindsey Graham praises Zelensky and Ukrainians but believes Russian president will only double-down on efforts to take Kyiv Graham, 66, told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade that any gains the Ukrainians and President Volodymyr Zelensky have made will only make Putin double down I'm in awe of the Ukrainian people,' Graham said. 'I have never seen a leader rise to the occasion more than President Zelensky has done' 'But the more successful the Ukraine is against Russia, the more likely Putin is to go scorched Earth,' he added His solution is that Americans should stop buying Russian oil and gas for the United States to make more of its own https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ky-Ukrainians-believes-Putin-double-down.html
Ukrainian bayraktar taking out Russian Grad systems. I have no doubt the US and the Europeans are bird dogging the locations:
I saw a pundit on some cable news program two days ago saying the Ukrainians should just surrender because the Russians will only get more indiscriminate with their bombings and missiles so in order to save lives they should stop resisting. Yeah, no. Surrendering to the Russians means subjecting your family to a life of oppression under the brutal Russian government. No way the Ukrainians should do that. The Ukrainians may lose cities, they may even lose their leadership but should never surrender.
I have no doubt the Belarusians could be getting cold feet. The Chechens got rocked as soon as they entered the theatre. The Russians can barely move 20 yards without getting turned into burnt toast. There have been 2 major attempts to take the airport in Kyiv and both were thwarted amd from what I understand those Belarusian units are paratroopers and that has not worked well for the Russians either.
In what way? Do you think the US military doesn't have sufficient resources to protect you from a foreign invasion?
Just saw a clip on cable showing some ukranian driver having a laugh with a russian tank crew at the side of the road. The ruskies were saying they are out of fuel. and the Ukranian guy in his car said "I will tow you back to Russia" and everyone had a big laugh including the ruskies. But the goddam story there is that they are out of fuel. I talked with a guy yesterday who has zero interest in politics or current events but said "It don't look like the Russians brought their A-Team." Heh. Can't improve on that. Of course, that may be their A-Team so that is not pretty either.
How does this end Can the Ukrainians extinguish the Russian army, or make them give up......It would be difficult , Russia has a huge army if needed Will Putin throw in the towel at some point , hard to see that Russia can siege Ukraine and starve them from weapons, food etc It will need to be a negotiated withdraw. What does Ukraine need to give Putin to negotiate a withdraw. At the least a promise to remain neutral
