  1. Printing of Rubles increased over 1% in April alone. Maybe it's time to bring the Jews back in.

Just wait till the epic 30yr bull run comes to end. The bubble of all bubbles. And the size of some of these players... This bubble was big enough, until it has been juiced for a couple years. Holy smokes... And for those mocking Bill Gross for losing out of some points... Better to be early then be holding when the fire starts.

A nice succinct way of phrasing it that any Elite Trader could understand. The Fed is the most corrupt organization ever divised by mankind. It should be mandatory that every man, woman, and child read "Web of Debt," by Ellen Brown, or other equivalent or superior book on the topic. The Fed is a self-serving travisty that is only interested in keeping the country on life-support long enough to leach every last cent it can from the empire. One day the country will wake up in a pool of its own blood only to find it has been fed upon by a herd of vampire bats. By that time, the host will be long dead.

  4. And yet, America achieved unprecedented levels of wealth and comfort for non-elites in the heart of the reign of "the most corrupt organization ever".

As corrupt as the system is it has been the most successful wealth distributing system so far. Although it has been based on debt over the last thirty years.

I really think Russia will be the next power house rather than China. It seems to be adopting the sort of model required to enable a more sustainable level of growth and it doesn't have the population problems.

at its rate of growth china doesn't have a population issue. russia may have a population issue because of its lack of population growth.

Where Russia really trails China is legal property protection. Owners of many larger businesses see it as quite probable outcome that they will not be there in a year or two. So, they are trying to make the most for themselves now. With this attitude one is not going to think of capital investments. Instead they will try to route the most cash into secret bank accounts.

So, there is a very real possibility that Russia keeps sliding into the niche of natural resource exporter with rudimentary inductrial production and even agriculture.

  8. Russia has no future.

The facade may look OK right now, but it is totally rotten inside.

It has failed to deal with rampant corruption.
The political system is a joke.
It has failed to build the infrastructure to facilitate any meaningful economic growth.
    It produces nothing except oil.
Oil profits keep going to the pockets of select few.

Only one point I would disagree regarding Shortie:

Russia has lots more of natural gas than oil.

Rest of his points are correct in observation.

it is predicted that by 2050 Russian population may drop to 100M from currently 147M.

This issue will further hamper the prospects of having another industry help the economy. The industry of agriculture given the global demand boom and thus rising food prices. However, this might be only partially true as these days with advanced tools and machines, even a single man can do a lot in farming.
