I was talking with a friend about it and he mentioned 'in the last several years'. So I would assume it was sometime around 97-2002ish. I'm aware of the debt default in 98, don't think it has anything to do with gold. I may have to ask him to clarify the time-period because 85-91 is more than 'a few' years ago, heh.
