Perhaps he will be. He's got to be charged with something first and there is an ongoing investigation(s).
You explained the liberal position on several issues well, but isn't anyone else entitled to a viewpoint? Just because liberals feel "threatened" doesn't give them a right to act like spoiled brats and shout down anyone who disagrees. The problem is that liberals have made most of the "advances" you list not by democratic means, but by unelected judges inventing new "rights" that somehow no one previously could find in the Constitution. They seem to fear the voice of the great unwashed, even as they claim to represent their interests. Whatever. I do take issue with your description of Rush. Rush spends a lot of time going over policy details and the political motivation behind much of what goes on. You may not care for his viewpoint or humor, but he is far more substantive than virtually any of the other commentators, like Hannity, O'Reilly, Carville, Begala, et al. Their approach is either cheerleading or throwing mud, depending on the issue and personality.
I never spent much time listening to Rush but when I did it made me feel good to hear somebody that says other people's problems are not mine to fix and my success is not theirs to get a piece of. Furthermore, pointing out the lunacy of socialist politicians is a full time job and I say the man for the job is none other than the great Limbaugh with his talent on loan from God.
huhhh???? yer mean to tell me, first crime (if that's his first)... means no punishment? ummmmm yer cubans are spiked.. or yer arguing for the shake of argument? Why is Rush out walking the streets after admittedly abusing prescription drugs in an illegal manner, while Tommy Chong is sitting behind bars for selling drug paraphernalia that could actually be used in a legal manner, like smoking tobacco??? Same reason that Ken Lay is out driving his Mercedes and Martha Stewart is facing a prison sentence??? Admit it yall!!!!! Republican party rules the freaking world!!!! ....but I digress....
Perhaps Chong couldn't afford the legal counsel that Rush can. The same reasoning can be applied to many of the former executives at Enron and Worldcom. Why isn't Ebbers in jail? Unfortunately, justice isn't always consistent. We live in an imperfect world. In such a world, one man who sells bongs online will serve jail time while another man who robs thousands of their life savings will remain on his ranch riding his horses. c'est la vie
why would you? You are not obsessed with Rush. Just me. Here I state a FACT. But Max turns it into something about me. Why? Then, not responding to Max at all, I made another post about Limbaugh (this WAS what the thread was about until Max tried to hijack it as he always does whenever I make a post).....Max, at this point was bubbling over with frustration, so he posts this: NONE of which was about ME. It was about Limbaugh. How else could I respond to this but the way I did: Then several pages of Max and ARogueTrader trading jabs. Max had to include me as part of the subject matter. No, Max is clearly not obsessed with me. ARogueTrader saw that right away! lol Now he complains that I say I have him on "ignore" but don't ignore him. But since virtually every post he makes has a reference to me, when he is quoted, ...there I am. Hard to miss. As for my other friend who, like Max, I tend to disagree with, but in a respectful way, I would like to point out to AAA a few things. AAA, you keep saying (to paraphrase) that liberals are all for free speech until you disagree with them. At which point they tell those they don't want to listen to to "shut the f&%k up". Case in point, I mentioned the guy in my trading room we banished. It had nothing to do with his political views. Maybe I did not make myself clear enough. It was NOT about what he said. We had other right wing thinkers and "staunch Republicans" in the room. But we were TRYING TO TRADE!!!! If he had come into the room spouting KARL MARX, or PEE WEE HERMAN we would have thrown him out of the room. It wasn't the politics. It was about DISRUPTION!!! When Dgabriel made his comment in response to "GES's" reference to Goebbles I responded with: And guess what? Dgabriel apologized. Maybe there's something to be said for those who are not so "Staunch" being able to admit when they are wrong. Or to see both side of an issue. This is my big complaint with the extreme right wing. It seems all black and white to them (not so much the real politicians, but the "ditto-head" parrots. As some one (I think it was Longshot) said, "you will Never hear Max admit he was wrong". And that has been true. He will back peddle and twist his words around and especially twist the words of others. In my case, he goes further. He lambasts me for saying things I never said. It's all part of his obsessive behavior. Clear for anyone to see. Here is my guess. AAA and Max and Hapaboy appear to have similar political views. But as human beings, they are completely different. I would bet anything that AAA could not stand to be in the same room with Max. AAA would admit to being a staunch conservative. Max is a devout sociopath. Hapaboy is a conservative with an open mind. AAA too. It seems to me that AAA is an intelligent and fair minded guy who basis his beliefs on his own logic (I am guessing)...not on the venom of a fanatic like Limbaugh (who, as I said, I used to believe was just an entertainer. Now I think he actually seriously believes what he says). Being able to see in more shades than black and white is a far step to the left of the Limbaughs and Fallwells, and Buchanans of the world. So while I may disagree with AAA and Hapaboy, and many others, I can at least respect them. As I mentioned, my closest friend down here....a guy I have sat next to for almost 8 years trading, is as right wing as they come. But again, as I said, it doesn't come into play in our friendship. Could ANYONE be friends with MAX? I have yet to see a post by Max that is not in some way negative and argumentative (with a few exceptions when it comes to showing his competence with technology). That he is obsesses with me is certainly weird, but there seems to be some honor in it. If we must have our personal "nemesis" why not have the most bizarre and distasteful of them all? OK Max, the floor is yours. I need a break from you and from ET. So do what you do. I went to Asia for 3 weeks in Sept., and while I did not make a single post, 100% of your posts were about me for about the first two weeks I was gone. So go to town. Here's another opportunity. Have fun! Do what you do. Peace, RS
RS7 always buries the truth in a "he said, she said" diatribe and crybaby tactics, making up 50% of it and over exaggerating the rest. RS7, why do you outright lie about what took place? Here is your pontification: Then, not responding to Max at all, I made another post about Limbaugh Does the following, from the post you referenced, qualify as "not responding to Max at all?" Again, having Max on ignore fails. Every time someone quotes him, I get to see his words of antagonism and negativity. Here again, without question, Max indeed is "trying to start something". It is what he does. His purpose in life. To get things in context, I took him off "ignore" and read the thread. Of course I should have known that my comment on Rush would elicit a response from Max directed at me. It had nothing to do with Max. But this never makes a difference. If I say anything, Max is lurking to pounce. Some call it "stalking". I said Rush Limbaugh is a mean spirited entertainer. Even Max who obviously idolizes Limbaugh would have a hard time arguing this clear fact. So rather than attempt to dispute my opinion, he attacks me personally. It is what he lives for. But putting Max aside (something we all wish he would do himself for the benefit of everyone), RS7, I think you might be obsessed with Max. BTW, please quote any commentary by me that equates to your statement that: "...Even Max who obviously idolizes Limbaugh "
For your sanity's sake (despite your political views - heh heh!), I suggest you just ignore Max401. The bottom line is that, for whatever reason, you fill a void in his life. By responding to him you're just catering to his need to continue the verbal repartee. It may be difficult not to respond - "no one likes to be called a liar" - but anyone on ET who follows the threads knows Max is obsessed with you. We all will understand if you just ignore his rantings and won't think any less of you for your silence. Besides, do you really care what other cyber residents think of you anyway? It's one thing to sling insults anonymously on a public message board. I've had my share of verbal jousts in the past with Optional777, dgabriel, and others. At the end of the day it's just two people who don't know each other, and will never ever meet face to face, expressing their opinions - sometimes in a heated manner. No harm done. It's quite another to have taken it to the level Max has, and you are partly to blame for responding every time he calls you out for something you posted or claimed to have done in your past. You're just fanning the flames. The guy has some serious issues. Leave him alone and maybe he'll go and find another person or cause to stalk (Hey Max! Try focusing your abundant energy on getting the uptick rule abolished!). The two of you have carried this way too far, Error. Now may be the time to exercise your conservative-blessed right to own a firearm (wink).
Et tu, Hapaboy? You've fallen for RS7's pabulum! "If I continually post my obsession theory, people will start to believe it." I would doubt if you get your opinion on this subject from reading anything I commented on, but only the flamboyant and subjective crying of RS7; he is one who complains easily and often. Ask RS7 how many entire threads he has originated with the sole purpose of making max401 as the primary topic. And I'm obsessed with him? LOL! But thanks for this much needed admonition to RS7: "you are partly to blame for responding every time he calls you out for something you posted or claimed to have done in your past. You're just fanning the flames." Too bad he'll never listen and I will simply sit here and snicker at the poor dolt, a crime majeure, I'm sure, that I should be shot at dawn for; sans cigarette, sans bindfold. RS7 was that kid you knew growing up that always went crying to the teacher or mommy and daddy whenever he percieved someone was picking on him. Apparently, someone over indulged him. The guy is his own worst enemy and believe me, I have always believed in your premise "At the end of the day it's just two people who don't know each other, and will never ever meet face to face, expressing their opinions - sometimes in a heated manner. No harm done.," no matter how many times RS7 or his ever attendant fan club keep insisting that there is some kind of "serious issue" I have with RS7, a risible theory on ET if there ever was one. He's a legend in his own mind! I think one of the advantages he has is his mournful self pity posts, he is good at his own PR, while I, on the other hand, don't care enough to go tit for tat everytime he whines. Maybe I've lost his "PR battle," but I'm not that concerned if he somehow has convinced anyone, it's just not that important to me. But it is hilarious to see him defensively re-explain, with hardly any provocation, for the umpteenth time, in blow by blow detail, each one of his now infamous escapades with rock, movie and other celebrities. I think RS7 prints his long winded diatribes because he is p.o.'d because he's now afraid to bring his star studded life with the entertainment world to the ET forum for fear of being challenged as to its veracity. Heaven forbid you don't take each and every claim as the truth. PS - Abolish the uptick rule? Never going to happen, it would be chaos in the market.
