Rush Limbaugh on Osama bin Laden's death: 'Thank God for President Obama'

  1. Whoever you want to credit here, bush or obama, is this really something to "take credit" for?

I mean it's taken us billions upon billions, draconian surveillance laws, killing the 4th amendment, 2 wars, and 10 years to catch one stone age arab. Is this really something to be "proud" of? Not embarrassed?

Despite the gratuitous circle jerk in the media, no one is really explaining how this is something to be "proud" of, or to "take credit" for. I think we're all patting ourselves on the back a bit too much here, honestly.

It's not unlike the guy who took 10 years to graduate from community college and moved out of his parents house at 40 congratulating himself on his "accomplishment" and "perseverance".

You make no sense. It wasn't the same team hunting Bin Laden this whole time. Bush wrote off getting Bin Laden after 6 months. He effectively said OBL was no longer a threat so why bother. It's not like Bin Laden killed 3000 people or something - oh, wait!

The GOP used 9/11 to launch a totally evil, totally stupid and totally debt-ballooning invasion and occupation of Iraq, which had fuckall to do with OBL or 9/11. So stop acting the guy who has to clean up all of Bush's crapfests hasn't accomplished something great, something every sane American wanted done. A mass murderer has been brought to justice. Sorry this interrupts whatever "priorities" you think we should be dealing with. Hey, why don't we let all the first-time American murderers out of prison? It's not like we *know* they'll do it again, right?

  3. Who cares?! It's been 10 years, trillions have been pissed away, civil liberties have been suspended, constitution has been ignored. I don't care if you want to credit Bush or Obama, but this isn't something to be "proud" about. No one needs a pat on the back, it's been 10 fucking years and little girls are getting molested to get on airplanes. That's not "success".

And no, NONE of the credit would go to Obama. He didn't do shit but tell them go "get him" after they told him they knew where he was hiding. Even if it did, there's little credit to go around; something like this costing us excessive loss of civil liberties, billions of dollars, and 10 years just can't really be called a "victory" and the way the pundits are trying to act about it, is just comical.

It's not unlike the 40 year old, living with his mom, who just took 10 years to graduate from community college patting himself on the back for his "perseverance" and "dedication".

  4. It shouldn't amaze you. Obama hasn't got one thing that is connecting with the American people.

This event is that one thing. But the sad irony for Obama is his success in killing OBL is a direct result of everything he campaigned against.

He deserves credit for giving the word to pull the trigger, every American deserves credit who spent the last 15 years pursuing this man, especially our military.

Once it goes further than that, with the "I's" replacing the "we", as in USA, Obama has got some explaining to do.

Expect this to be the one thing the left wants to talk about come this campaign season. It's the only thing

The stupid thing for the left...if they would have acted like adults, thanked the work the Bush admin did, the Clinton admin, they would have gotten way more respect from all those people they're desperately trying to get it from.

But we aren't dealing with adults.
