Limbaugh, who has recently criticized the first lady's figure, said in 2009 that he hopes Mr. Obama fails, and complained last year about Americans donating to the post-earthquake humanitarian relief in Haiti, continued about Bin Laden: "You see the military wanted to go in there and bomb. They always do. They wanted to go in there and drop missiles and launch bombs. A number of totally destructive techniques here. But President Obama, perhaps the only qualified member in the room to deal with this, insisted on the Special Forces. No one else thought of that. President Obama. It really amazes me how much emphasis the media is putting on this one event. The whole bit about bin Laden being Public Enemy #1 was about revenge. He is dead now. Is that really going to solve anything? You KNOW AQ has a whole line up of "evildoers" to take his place. Killing AQ leaders is not the way to solve the issue of terrorism. We must reduce our dependence on oil so that we can reduce our military presence in Middle Eastern countries so that we can stop making the extremists angry. When they're not angry they have no reason to attack us. This is simple human psychology people.
I guess some of you have never listened to Rush and can;t recognize his parodies and sarcasm. Obama was the "most qualified one in the room"? That pretty much tipped it off. And you have to love the way he mocked obama's incessant use of the false alternative.
Yes, the sarcasm was fairly dripping. It didn't escape me. A true American, that Rush, able to ridicule a genuine national victory with loosely-veiled contempt.
