i am relocating to an area where satellite is necessary. i have an e-mail which states latency is 1/2 second using direcway's 2 way system from a firm that sells and installs the system. can i believe this?
does anyone have first hand experience in setting up for trade in the mountains west of denver?

  2. I tested a Starband system up in the Cascade mountains by Steven's Pass (North-East 2 hours from Seattle). I found latencey of about 3/4 of a second. Standard pings were returned in an average of 730 millisecond. I know of a trader working in the Arctic by satellite that puts up with 2 second latency. I guess you modify your system to work with the technology you have?

    Good Luck.
