Volente instead of adding rules on the spot to make up for it's bad performance why don't you write a final set of rules and be done with it.
There is no "Rule of 10" Trading System ... you'd do just as well randomly picking entries and exits using any old made up rule you can find. Here's one: a) Buy when price is above the 40 SMA b) Sell when price is below the 40 SMA It'd do you much better than the ROT trades that were taking tonite and crapped-out. Ah, descretionary trading ... there's nothing like it!
1280.25 was both a Ro10 and Ro40 short, working out nicely, dropped below 1275... (just kidding about the Ro40)
Do you alwys use the daily chart of the SPX to intra-day trade the ES? Something tells me yes. LOL, nice cherry picking there, to go along with all of your discretionary rules. P.S. Please let me know when you get your real-time data feed for the ES, then we can start having a conversation about trade, LOL.
Where in your post does it say daily ? How bout you post your own charts to go along with your simple analysis so that others can crucify you when who are either too ignorant or to close minded to understand what you are talking about. You talked about all these stop puts trading r10 from last night. So answer these simple questions. Did es run from a 66.5 reaction low to 79 before falling to 70.25 ? If you shorted 66.5 plus 10 did you get stopped out before you had a chance to make 6 points ? Did es run from 70.25 to 81 before falling to 72 ? If you shorted 70.25 plus 10 did you get stopped out before the trade went 8 points in your favor ? The only losing trade I see are long signals, imagine that losing long trades that are above a gap. Only reinforces my general condion for taking signals even more.
You posted a daily chart of the SPY. I said just use a simple sma. Since we're talking intra-day charting, it was inferred that the reader would apply the indicator to whatever time-fram they are trading ... not too hard to undersand, I hope. Oh, I'll post my own charts and a lot more. ... and did anyone say anything about crucifying someone? Just a bit sensitive, now aren't we? You sure do take a lot of time to defend a system of trading which generates so many hindsight winning trades. LOL, nOObs beware.
