I don't know much about programming and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this problem. I wanna grab stock date from an rss feed and get it to update itself in an excel file. Is there anyway to do this. I know google docs will let you take the feed in but it won't let u partition the data. Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. I'm not sure what version of Excel you have (I have 2003), but you can use the Web Query function to do this I think. Find out what the URL is for the RSS feed, select "Data->Import External Data->New Web Query, and type in the URL. Then click Import to get the feed contents into the spreadsheet.

Once you do that, you can refresh it periodically and get to the data from elsewhere in the sheet.

  4. I think there's a parameter to refresh, but the units are in minutes. If you want it fancier, you'll have to do some VBA programming.
