And my name is Fred. I been using it almost from start of my trading. I started trading in 1978 and same year "New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems" by Welles Wilder came out, featuring RSI, Parabolic SAR, Average True Range and the Directional Movement Concept (ADX). Guess what, I use most of his indicators in some form on all my markets and timeframes.

Nothing leads Price, I am sure most will agree on that statement. Indicators show us as does Price, what has happened in the past. You watch Price long enough, you see patterns, you watch indicators long enough, you see patterns. After long time, and to a very lite degree of "old Woodie" and his CCI and his shouts of "I don't need stink'en Price", when an indicator does a pattern you know, Price should be behaving a certain way as well, so after a long while, price and indicators compliment each other. But here is the fun part, one of the ways NOT to take a signal in one's method, when the indicator does a different pattern that it normally does relating to Price, one can have an AH-HA moment, often times those trades are losers for me. And there are other patterns an indicator might lead me to say it is time to "Load the boat" and increase contract size.

This is one of the times where if all that is done is number crunch, true learning of Price stucture and slow indicators are lost.
