RSI and MA Stock Scanner?

Discussion in 'Automated Trading' started by reversiontrader, Jun 30, 2009.

  1. I am looking for a good stock scanner to identify stocks by multi period RSI and SMAs. if I could also scan for "x" number of down days in a row that would be a big plus.

I only require my scan for closing daily prices not intra day ticks. I am not currently looking to automate just to locate potential stock setups.

    Any good recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. For US stocks the best daily scanner is TC2007. You can do very easily what you described.

Many nice features and easy to use, after you learn it:)

I suppose you can do that easily with Metastock or other programs like Amibroker for foreign stocks if you have an EOD data vendor.

  3. thanks I-Bill.

I have heard good things about Amibroker. I guess I am just trying to find the software that is most cost effective for what I want to do ( which I would think is relatively simple since everything is closing prices)

    Thanks.
