Huhh?? made $$ in AM chopped a bit and laid off the midday chop hit it hard again at the close quote was very applicable. (what am I doing on this thread)?
I don't know what the dialogue from the movie was, but the correct term is "checks". The fact that people call them "chips" is just a common misnomer. There are in fact "chips" in a casino. They are at the roulette tables. They have no denomination. Just a color to differentiate one player from the next. If a guy is playing green chips, they may be worth whatever they are designated to be worth when he or she buys in. "Chips" with a denomination on them are "checks". More trivial and mostly useless info from your's truly. If you call them "chips" in a casino, it is unlike anyone will correct you. BTW, "Doesnt" should be spelled "Doesn't"! Peace, Rs8.5
Now THAT IS TRIVIAL (but I never knew that). RS, when are you going to get back to posting about TRADING?????? MarcD
couldn't have said it better....this is one of the things i need to learn from earnings season....afternoons are WORTHLESS!!!
... for some reason you're the only one who understood the minor point I was trying to make. It was well worth sitting out the midday period though. Late in the day was meat and potatoes trading (as was the AM)! -- I think we should put this tired thread out of it's misery. By the power invested in me by (see attached), I hereby declare this thread useless beyond comprehension!
My girlfriend and I watched it tonight...couldn't help myself after this thread and all the quotes lately. Her comment: "This movie teaches guys [guy traders] such bad habits". She's a trader...worth considering.
