Well, since Lightspeed is his broker, and they are a sponsor here, I am sure they could verify his results in this thread. Whaddya' say @Robert Morse ? Is the guy legit?
he can have multiple trading accounts. he can only show you his successful trading account and hide the account that got blown up. if i'm gonna buy someone trading course. and trading is his only income. i would also need to see his tax return for last few years to see if he is a profitable trader. no one can hide from the irs.
The sum total of his tax forms will show he's made millions. But from his courses and YouTube revenues. Really what it comes down to, is can you replicate what he does. I've seen enough of his live YouTube videos to know his "executions", it can't be replicated by most people. There is a reason he never shows the actual execution. You can only see his realized PnL number. The biggest fakery that happens when he's trading live, is when he's "paying himself" during a stock gyration. Small cap pops then dumps then pops again. Yet he's "paying himself"?? Lol, I like to see ANYONE try to replicate that crap.
Ross is a great marketer with a trusting voice and seemingly 'down to earth" personality. I think he has a lot of knowledge and I intelligence. But............ I agree. In my opinion, Ross pumps/dumps. As well, any money he deposits/invests into his brokerage accounts from income created by courses, ytube, chats and such will show in totals. Meaning, I don't believe his disclosure of income in these accounts to be made on strictly on trades he built from such a small account. The math does not add up on any level.
I agree. I don't hate the guy. He has that nice mid-Western vibe. Probably a great guy outside of trading but fakery is still just a scam. You don't excuse it for anyone, not Madoff, not Trump, not anyone. Now that I've joined the short side, I actually don't mind the pump part. The smart guys doing the short, actually do the statistical analysis to back their trades.
I just can't stop laughing when I see people falling for these course peddlers. Just stop for a minute and think logically. Imagine a REAL LEGIT trader/investor like Soros, or Dalio spending all day in a bedroom somewhere trying to get as many people to sign up to their trading-courses. Peddling day in and day out with email spams and the like to potential clients. Nope, not going to happen. When Dalio makes a video on how the economy works or other related, he doesn't even charge you for it, it's made free to the public. I can tell you ONE thing the legit guys do. They DON'T give away their trading secrets. These stay inside their hedge funds and are air-tight. Anyone who claims to be a money-making guru and is willing to teach you too for a fee, and doesn't even have a legit hedge fund... definitely raises some flags. However, there is a new sucker born every minute, and a hell of a lot of millennials out there spreading around dumb-money.
Oh and while we are on that topic.... Both me and Niederhoffer have something similar to say about those ridiculous self-published books written by those self-proclaimed day-trading gurus: Yes, I keep posting this meme now and then, because so many young & dumb millennials just refuse to 'get it'.
