Just wondering about spreads on dia, ndx, xau index type products. At Ib one can do spread combo's on equities. Is this just not offered in index options? Or just not a feature at Ib? Do I just have to leg it? Thanks
I just think it's just that you can just do spread orders just on ISE. Other than just that I just have no idea just why these spread orders are just available for just equities. We will just have to live with it, whether we think it's just or unjust.
As far as I know, the only U.S. options exchange that will facilitate spread orders via IB is the ISE.
If you use the combo order entry it will route to the ISE bulletin board where you have a fair shot at getting filled. Otherwise, from what I've been told by active option traders, you are usually best off legging the order yourself.
