Did you vote for Ron Paul? If so, why did you vote for him? Do you know his positions on various social policy issues? Do you think his position on abortion aligns more with democrats or republicans?

What are you trying to say?

  4. I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries mainly because of his foreign policy views. Eventually the economy blew up so that was another bonus considering his support for Austrian Economics and the critique of the Fed.

About social issues, yes Ron Paul is against abortion but he believes that is a state's right to decide.... so it skews the Republican/Democrat argument. Yes Republicans claim they want states to have greater power, but that is hypocritical considering the Bush administration cracked down on issues that went against the federal law (think FBI raiding medical Marijuana dispensaries in California).

Paul also doesn't care about gay marriage as a civil union (more Democrat) and he is against the War on Drugs (very Democrat view). But like I said to you earlier, these are 3 issues out of thousands so we don't need to have confirmation bias. But he is very socially liberal when it comes to the Republican Party, surely because he is a libertarian. :)

I did pose the questions to you; however, the abortion issue does not skew both ways. He is pro-life. The democrat position is pro-choice.

  6. Yes he is pro-life. But why are we reverting back to ONE social issue?

    -Paul supports stem-cell research.
-Paul supports same sex civil unions.
    -He supports military's don't ask, don't tell.
    -He supports medical marijuana.
-He wants to end the War on Drugs.

These are issues that are mainly supported by Democrats... we need to think of the world as shades of gray instead of black and white.

Is that why you posted a doctored gay porno picture of Bush? You are a hypocrite. Why are you still a moderator?

BTW, Ron Paul is a REPUBLICAN.

  8. Ok, I'm done arguing with you... you don't seem very bright. Obviously Ron Paul is a Republican lol. That being said, he ran as a independent for president once before and he was seriously considering switching to a independent in 2008.

Bush Jr. is the worst president of my lifetime. I give respect to Reagan and other Republicans before him. Bush was an idiot and destroyed this country. I actually liked him in 2000 following his gubernatorial stint in Texas but he completely changed when in the White House.

Lastly, I am registered as a Republican... but I plan on changing to Independent soon.

Why did you post a gay porno picture? You should not be a moderator.

  10. speaking of black and white, versus shades of gray .... all of your supposed issues supported by Democrats are multi-facted ..

stem-cells? which stem cells? I'd guess the libertarian view point is not to create embryos for the sole purpose of cannablizing them.

same-sex civil unions, is much different than redefining the traditional marriage

    don't ask, don't tell? not exactly a pro-gay doctrine

medicinal marijuana? most true conservatives are likely in favor of this as well.

the war on drugs? The Democrats control everything, we'll see if they move on this. I'm sure any libertarians viewpoint on this differs greatly from your typical liberal. Liberal==We can't stop you, so we will let you do em, and pay for the aftermath. Libertarian==Do At Own Risk.
