It's a shame that you and Ron Paul are stuck in the 18th century. The world has moved on, its a totally different place in every respect and what might have worked then is hopelessly obsolete now. Besides you're not that correct either, while there indeed was no resolutions during the French revolution, the American political elite and political parties did take sides... "Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson became the leader of the pro-French Democratic-Republican party that celebrated the republican ideals of the French Revolution. Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton led the Federalist Party, which viewed the Revolution with skepticism and sought to preserve existing commercial ties with Great Britain. With the two most powerful members of his cabinet locked in mutual opposition, President George Washington tried to strike a balance between the two." http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ho/time/nr/88108.htm In this case there is no division, the entire population of the US and both political parties are siding with the demonstrators... that is with the exception of Ron Paul of course.
Nobody said you cant have an opinion,Ron Paul didn't say you cant have an opinion,But in the end we stayed out of it like Ron Paul is saying we should do now from your own refrence http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ho/time/nr/88108.htm "The French Revolution lasted from 1789 until 1799. The Revolution precipitated a series of European wars, forcing the United States to articulate a clear policy of neutrality in order to avoid being embroiled in these European conflicts. "
+1 Ron Paul's view is that the US should stay out of other countries affairs. America complains and inteferes ONLY when they are against the person who won (regardless how) a election. There has been alleged presidential voting fraud in Egypt for decades... and WE never question those elections because the president is our ally. Egpyt is also the second recipient of the most financial aid from the US. BTW, how would we like it if China told us that we should recount our presidential results in 2000 between Bush and Al Gore. Stop policing the world America.
+ 1 Some people don't understand that the same principles that made this nation great are still very valid today.Every year our country gets weaker and weaker as we stray from those principles. Our countrys founding fathers would be turning over in their graves if they knew we were 10 trillion in debt and mostly to other countries. They would be furious that we invaded Iraq and were the world police.Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson hated banks and they would both tear down the federal reserve. Ron Paul seems to be the only man who knows that the principles that this country were founded on are the best and he is the only man who support those principles
I agree with Ron Paul. Personally I find all the protesters' signs in English troubling. They need to handle this themselves, not cry out to the west. We need to be done with all this intervention. And we should certainly ignore English cries for help from a people who have shouted death to America and death to Israel. I could care less if their "vote counts" or not.
It is regrettable, but it would appear that Obama is a globalist, based on his desire to give more power to the agency that has enslaved us. This is an attempt to drag us into another war in which will extend us even further, costing us even more, which will later destroy services endemic to American life. Rome fell in exactly this way, too many wars, too much space to cover, two much cost, too high taxes. Eventually, the people didn't believe in Rome anymore. The people would make no more sacrifices, and the rich simply left. The failed belief in the state is what will eventually doom that state.
Iâm sorry but what is our unemployment rate, 9%? Why is Congress wasting their time doing this? What does it accomplish? I work as a caddy at a golf course. Letâs just say that a rather important member of Congress was playing today. Nice to see how theyâre spending their time.
They do it because they trade in publicity & sound bites as a means to get votes. Nothing that they say makes any difference in Iran. None of it has to do with 'principles'. Some in Congress have been mouthing off about human rights violations in China- - until their government let it be known that said politicians better back off if they want Chinese money for our securities. End of 'principles' pretty quickly. Ron Paul knows the best course is to mind your own damned business. The people in other nations will sort it out for themselves. The original poster is uninformed - Ron Paul's reasons for voting as he did are based on principles of good government. They do stretch back to the 18th Century - - and so do the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. - - -
Exactly monty! Let us reverse the situation. Had it been Ahmadi Najad who lost and had it been Ahmadi Najad who sent his gangs to the streets, that thread would've not been made by a_person the Zionist. As a matter of fact, a_person would've posted a thread condeming Najad's actions. Let us face it, a_person's is anger at Ron Paul is stemming from the fact that he did not submit to the Jewish lobby's agenda like the rest of the congressmen did. At the end of the day, Ahmadi Najad won by 12 Million votes. 12 Million people! Not few hundred thousands like in the case of Florida. What happened in Iran now is identical to what happened in Iran with Mosadaqi in the 50s. To legitimize the overthrow of the Mosadaqi's democratically elected government at the hand of Shah, The US had to send its agents in a form of Newspaper columnists to accuse Mosadaqi of being a communist and with election fraud. By doing so, the US guaranteed that the religious institutions will not back him up and by that he will fall as an easy target to the Shah overthrow. They tried to do that this time by, once again, sending their agents to claim election fraud. This time, the Iranian people were much smarter. On the surface, Obama was very smart in not taking sides for his fear that if the gangs of Mosavi failed to destabilize the country, Iran would open the Iraqi and Afghani fronts. Having me saying that, at the end of the day, that does not serve the interest of the ultra right wing government in Israel.
